@adolhh I disagree, if you ask people from Japan who the ENKA's QUEEN is they will answer: Misora Hibari. She was and IS the most beloved japanese singer. Also she had an amazing voice, by the way
This delicate song (ya setsuno watashi) is sung with full emotions by charmingly beautiful Fuji Ayako san here. Then again, Ayako san brings life to any song she sings.

今 聴いてもちあきなおみの歌謡，とりわけ矢切の渡しは出色で彼女以上にこの唄を情感深く表現できる歌手はいないと思います 表舞台に今一度戻ってきて欲しいと夢にまで見ます 彼女には天から何かが与えられていたと思わざるを得ません

「矢切の渡し」は「ちあきなおみ」が船村徹にもっと明るい唄をと希望して作られたものです。
有線大賞はとれたけど、明るくないとボヤいて有名でした。
数年後、細川たかしが歌わせてほしいと船村に頼んでレコード大賞までブレイクした経緯です。 藤あや子も船村門下です。
