  • Outstanding. If this helps others: I had already developed my site on dw8. Already installed and set up databases on mysql/php in xampp. Problem I had was connecting dw to the databases. This solved it - took me back a step to the vital setting up of the server for testing. This way dw now recognises it and I get a db connection first time. Just remember, use the 'root' php superadmin pw with dw to get the db connection right.
