they should simply re-air the original series, and take it from there, write new episodes with the new cast, instead of starting from scratch, and re-hashing the same old lines.

I agree .. the original is better .. but you seem to really hate this one .. any ways .. too bad the original didn't last longer.. it was a good psychological show .. and that one is too romantically oriented .. that would be the reason I don't really like it that much

I don't really think it's better than the original. Even though it's new there are no different ideas .. they even use the same lines they did on the original (clothing optional party). also, in this show romance trumps logic and psychology. I guess what I'm trying to say is .. it's too lovey-dovey for me

Ok, I gotta say, I find myself saying that too. Even though basically all I ever watch is american (except for german soaps), I still think that it's only in america you can sell ideas that are shallow, sexfictated and usually only created to make money. I have nothing against american people, it's just the "land of dreams" lifestyle that seems like one big reality show. Just look at the quality of soaps!

Again, I like the shows (mostly) and the movies, it can just be a little "out there"

they need money .. that's why they make stuff that the bigger part of the potential audience would bite on .. but that doesn't make it all bad .. movies or shows about shallow stuff can be interesting .. I find a really hard time enjoying a hardcore drama movie .. I'm just too annoyed all the time but pretty much everything else could be made enjoyable

It looks like the made it a bit more outrageous. Maybe it'll be a bigger hit because of it.

I'm happy its coming back in any form, but I loved the original so much. Jeremy Piven pawned that role. Hope these guy's can match it.

I downloaded all of the original episodes, and it looks s though this one is basically copying the same script, I will still watch it, but Jeremy Piven, Jeffery Sams and the chick that played Clair Allen was the ultimate cast. I am unsure about this blonde.

Sarah Paulson was great on Studio 60 but the original was far superior

I can't stop comparing it to the old version, when I watch this trailer. (And that's sad, because I think if it weren't for that, I'd probably enjoy the new show.) I still haven't recovered from the cancellation of the first Cupid.

Hopefully the re-launch will inspire someone at ABC to give us DVDs of the original series...
