What is this song called. It's not Orion, cause Orion is an 8 & a half minute metal song. This is an early blues track that Cliff starts with his bass doing the exact same notes as you do at the beginning. What is it. Definitely not Orion.

sorry to correct u but it the beginning part is orion,it's about halfway through the song there's a bridge. Although he altered it a bit. but the soul that metallica putted in the song is still there :) keep on playing dude :)

You're right. I finally did some searching into it & got to listen to all of Orion. See when I back around 1997 or 1998 on sundays, a local rock station here would do 2 hours of nothing but a particular band's music. Well one Sunday was all Metallica & one of the songs was apparently Orion.

But at the time the didn't announce it in the block of music & all that was played was like 4 mins or so of the song. The whole metal prog. stuff that starts Orion was cut out. So all that was played was the start of this Bluesy R&B bass riff Cliff does when the song breaks & changes on into the metal ending. My bad, I should have listened to the entire song before I post this.
