@TheDoubleBubble22 That's fine, you're entitled to your ignorant opinion.
But you must know that any artist worth his or her salt is open to criticism, because that is the only way that they grow. I have been to art college, and I KNOW that a big part of the education is having a group of people stand around your piece, and critique it. Then you go away, and do the recommended work to improve. This artist wants to sell, and that's fine; but it's unfair to consumers to not be informed.
@TheDoubleBubble22 You're quite ignorant, and not too bright. It has nothing to do with "realism". Artists can paint horses in an entirely abstract manner, and still be 300% better than this one is. She's too lazy to go to life drawing classes, and improve her drawing skills. She's able to suck in dupes like you, because you don't educate yourself. Good art will increase in value over time. GOOD art. Buy one of these, and ask an appraiser its worth. Dare ya!!
@TheDoubleBubble22 It is not "true art". You need to look at artists such as this: Alfred Munnings just for example so that you can see how poor the anatomy is in this person's paintings. I know because I draw horses myself, and I own horses. Proper life drawing classes would make a big difference if she has the ability. If you spend a lot of money on these, you're getting sucked in. Educate yourself.
Karen- as a Horse show judge and vet my critique lies in certain proportions the length of the head is always the same as the length of the neck and the shoulder and the back *withers to beginning of lumbar vertebrae and the whole horse should be 4 time the length of the hed. To make a head look shorter place the eye a fraction lower on the face and make the eye large. the width of the head at the jaw ti top of face is 1/2 the length of the head. A dished face makes it look shorter.
Fantastic work!!!!!:) Most of all i like the colours which give the painting a positive and cheerful atmosphere(although in paintings i mostly prefer dark colours like black, d.purple & d.blue).It seems like traveling in an ideal-farytail world only with horses...
hi Mrs.Brenner. i'm one of your husband's students. these are the best paintings i've ever seen. i love horses sooo much and hope to own horses and do what your doing... paint them. i love to paint and draw and everthing like that and you have inspired me to do that even more. thank you sooooo much!!!
I was so pleased my husband showed my video to a couple of his classes. I'm glad you like the paintings. As you can see I love horses and art too! Good luck with your art! - Karen
I should start drawing the UP horses in the Beautiful Horses of Michigan series in the next week or two! Of course it'll be a few months after that before they are completed. Hang in there! - Karen
Fantastic paintings Karen! I love anything equine, I also happen to own a canvas printing company, have you considered making any of them available to be offered as prints?
Thanks for accrediting my music btw! it fits great!

Poor understanding of anatomy, and poor drawing skills. Need to spend more time in life drawing classes.
