Americans need to wake up. Read about the Great Depression, 1930s USA. Roosevelt created jobs for millions of ppl--jobs that raised the standard of living for Americans. These "government jobs" provided benefits, decent pay and better working conditions. Sadly, Americans began to take their labor rights for granted. Now, gradually, since Reagan, the govt has been undoing Roosevelt's New Deal, taking us right back into another Depression. Read about it people, it's in the history books!

Well of course people are homeless because you live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. The beach cities in Socal have rents in the thousands of dollars, what do you think is going to happen when you lose your job. Native Socals couldn't live in their hometowns, same thing in Nocal. A huge migration to the coast has taken place and when the bottom falls out them of course their will be people out on the streets. But not everyone should/can live where they want. To bad.

California is going to go through some painful changes. I read in the paper today that Schwarzenegger is going to cut public assitance and EBT (foodstamps) on 6-01-2010 . I live in the I.E the days are growing darker and the desperation on peoples faces shows, especially the young people my heart goes out to them.
