  • lol at 0:44 he is punching the bag wrong but its what ever

  • Gotta love the 1/4 squats

  • Anybody know where this training camp is located? Thx... Greetings from Portland Oregon

  • This looks pretty intense. But that's what you have to do if you really want to take your game to the next level.

  • What's the equipment box at 1:02? thanks.

  • @rob91Harvey it's a skating technique box. It's supposed to reenact the feel and technique of skating "strides". It's actually quite hard. We have one at our home rink training center.

  • why is there a bitch there?? haha she looks like a plug

  • @TBoss2492 your mother doesnt think so

  • Check out the newest off ice training tool!

  • Earn your ice time? That is probably the gayest thing I have ever seen. Sidney Crosbys build is better suited for Junior High School than the NHL; and he wrecks Goalies with 20+ years of experience. He does it by spending TIME ON THE ICE. You can slave yourself for hours in the gym and shoot D-Bol until your nuts are the size of tic tacs, but if you do not get out on the Ice every chance you get, you are going to suck monkey balls during a Game.

  • @RocketRitch88 wow chill man. crosby does conditioning too. you can't be on the ice 24-7, but this definitely helps you out if you don't htink it does you are retarded.

  • @hockeyyismylife, Do you even know who I am? Listen, you should really learn to mind your own fucking business. LOL! Retarded? Yeah people like YOU, who think every post is aimed at them, are RETARDS! Since you are unable to mind your own fucking business, ponder this mind bender for a second: why are so many amazing hockey players from Canada and not Southern California. Think are it for a second smart guy I am sure will come to you this century. It is called "ICE TIME" and availability.

  • @RocketRitch88 no i don't know who you are, and you are still retarded. One because you didn't have anything to say in your last post that was relevant and two because I'm canadian and play more hockey than you.

  • @hockeyyismylife, Dude, are you really that fucking stupid, or is your reading comprehension just that bad? I will re-state my point for the MORONIC: The reason there are so many amazing Hockey Players from Canada and not Southern California, is because of ICE TIME! For example: if you wanted to be an amazing Basketball player, you have to PLAY basketball, not lift weights for hours on end. Hockey is NO different? Frequency = Efficiency. Stop making excuses and get on the ice…

  • @RocketRitch88 dude i live in cali and play with my buds. theres a ton of rinks. we can go and get our own time there with no one around anytime we want. many places

  • @blade03030, The caption “Earn your ice time”, is like saying “Earn your skates”. You can not play Ice Hockey without ICE! Hockey players are made on the ice and not the gym. After you have built a strong fundamental base, then you can develop your body to increase the speed of those fundamentals. Ice time in a rink is not free, but ice on a pond or a park is free. So, get out of the gym and go play hockey. Plus, parents are more apt to support sports they do not have to go broke for.

  • @RocketRitch88 You know a lot of 200 pound 12 and 13 year old kids? You watch a hockey game in the last 20 years? There is no off season, this is what pros do.

  • What the hell are you talking about? Not every kid who plays hockey is going to become a Pro. However every Pro became a Pro because they ENJOYED THE GAME. During a child’s formative years it is essential to develop the fundamental skills of: Skating, Puck Handling, Shooting and Passing; so they will enjoy the game. Strength training/ Muscle building will only stunt natural growth. Children should play a multitude of sports to develop a well rounded approach and avoid "burn out".

  • @RocketRitch88 I don't see any kids in that video. Obviously these intense workouts are not intended for or marketed to children. What you are saying is to learn a game you have to learn the fundamentals of the game. Do you really think for a moment those young men who want to become pros are not on the ice every day? Some things people know just by being alive, it's self-evident. Your comments are a waste of space.

  • @MClaudiusMarcellus, Genius, I was responding to YOUR comment about kids not the video. If my comments are wasteful, why do you continue to reply to them? Amazing Hockey Players are made ON THE ICE either in a Rink, on a Pond, or in the Backyard; NOT in a fucking gym. There is no excuse for parents and coaches not maximizing ICE TIME for developing players. Some parents just need to admit that they are too fucking lazy and cheap to shell out the money for ICE time. The truth hurts!

  • @RocketRitch88 true bro. they gotta learn there fundamentals at a young age. save the weight training for later on

  • @RocketRitch88 and i hate crosby personally but he has tons of lean muscle, which is better suited for a less physical center for the 2nd or 1st line. more than half of these guys are pluggers or 4th liners and they have to work to be good at everything including checking and blocking shots and they would destroy you so there you go. what are you going to do if your rink is having a public skate? off ice training. chilllll.

  • @hockeyyismylife, Public Skate? What the fuck are you talking about? That is a weakest excuse I EVER heard. I am talking about getting your fucking ass outside to a local park or a frozen pond where you can play Hockey for six hours a day, and no one is going to bother you. That is called ICE TIME! But it has to be COLD in order to make ice, so if you are from a cold climate (like CANADA), you would have more ICE TIME, thus making you a BETTER HOCKEY PLAYER! Are you starting to get it?

  • @RocketRitch88 i get your point (and your frustration with hockeyismylife, lol) but the Canadian climate is not what breeds top notch canadian players. Our climate, and the frozen ponds it creates, breeds the PASSION for the game (supported by things like being able to play on a pond for 6 hrs, like you mentioned)..but that's at a young age. by the time a player hits 12, 13, if he has potential, %90 of that potential is realized from on ice practice and off ice training, not outdoor pond hockey.

  • @RocketRitch88 our SYSTEM and training facilities are what produce such high quality players, not our climate.our system if far superior to those found in California, for example. but i will say that our climate is what breeds such passionate interest and love for the game in the first place, unlike places like california. but a cold climate and pond hockey doesn't really get you anywhere in today's nhl. going through the canadian hockey system, on ice and off, does.

  • @2nose919, so you do not think Wayne Gretzky would be "Wayne Gretzky" if he was to play in today's NHL? LOL! There is a difference between “reality” and “marketing”. Those “Hockey Facilities” that you mentioned are NOT free. Someone has to pay for the ICE TIME, Instructors and etc. Parents waste their money to produce a “20 Minute Player” (Herb Brooks)? The kid is in a class for 1-3 hours with 30+ kids and does not learn shit. If you want to learn HOCKEY then played HOCKEY.

  • @RocketRitch88 Gretzky wouldn't be nearly as dominant in today's NHL if he relied solely on on-ice/pond practice. He admits that himself.Today's elite players are elite players because of: learning the essentials as a kid (as I admitted earlier) combined with intense off ice physical training beginning in their teen years. Whether it costs money or not is completely beside the point, and yes, many parents do waste their money (again, beside the point).

  • @2nose919, Hey Bud, if you are going to quote someone then "quote" them. Do you know what they say about people who complicate things? They do not understand what they are talking about. The essential elements of Hockey are: puck handling, skating, shooting and passing. All those skills come from hours of ON ICE training, not from sit-ups or any of the other bullshit that you are selling.

  • @RocketRitch88 off ice training is as important in today's nhl and in the development of future nhl players as on ice practice/pond hockey/etc. Look at crosby, who has had a personal trainer since he was young. look at how hard he is to knock off the puck; this is the result of years of incredibly intense core and lower body OFF ICE training. This isn't to say that the skills he developed on the ice aren't important too, but you shouldn't overlook the off ice element, as it's equally important.

  • @2nose919 Allow me to enlighten you on REALITY. The majority of kids playing hockey today DO NOT come from wealthy families; they come from working class households. They do not have the money for fucking personal training, so wake up. This just goes to show how out of touch you actually are. If you think doing sit-ups all day is going to make you a better puck handler, by all means continue doing it. I will continue Coaching (Pro-Bono) and putting kids on the road to the NHL. Deal?

  • @RocketRitch88 you are incredibly frustrating. first, what does my age have to do with anything? and second, you either skimmed over or failed to read completely what i said. i NEVER said that all kids should do intense off ice training, nor that it was an essential part of hockey. all i have EVER said is that ANY current nhl player has benefited greatly over the course of their careers from both on ice AND off ice training, and that both are important to play at today's elite level.

  • so get off your "i coach hockey, therefore i KNOW hockey" soapbox and stop being such a prick. I never claimed that sit ups give you good puck handling skills, nor did i ever understate the value of learning and practicing the one ice essentials of hockey. i just pointed out the effectiveness and benefits of off ice training, at the elite levels of today's hockey, cannot be underestimated and are invaluable tools to today's stars, both up and coming and in the nhl already.

  • @2nose919, WHAT? I did your comment, and I would like you to acknowledge that in order for someone to reach the ELITE levels of Hockey, you need a firm base of fundamental skills that comes from ON ICE training. I would also like you to acknowledge that there are working class families out there, who have to cut back on living expenses so their kid could play Hockey. Unfortunately, not everyone could avoid the Real World, as you have done.

  • this is what i mean when i say you dont read what replies. I agree that you need on ice fundamentals, never said anything different. i only said that today's elite players also need considerable off ice physical/endurance training as well. never said that all hockey families can put their child into expensive facilities, but that hockey players who are identified early as having nhl level abilities begin off ice training as well as on ice, to help them reach the nhl. that's it.

  • this 'real world' i seem to be avoiding...? all ive ever said is todays elite levels of hockey demand considerable off ice training, that many youth players (15 and up) who have nhl potential enter into off ice training to help them get there, and that both on-ice fundamentals and practice combined with off ice training are what's needed to be an elite player today. wayne gretzky, had he just relied on on ice practice like he did when he played, wouldn't be nearly as dominant today.

  • @2nose919, Bud, answer one question for me. What does the average Youth Hockey player have to do FIRST in order to reach the "Elite Levels" of Hockey?

  • @RocketRitch88 Master the essentials of the game, which I've already said..

(from a few posts earlier).."Today's elite players are elite players because of: learning the essentials as a kid combined with intense off ice physical training in their teen years."

    What's your point?

  • @2nose919, Run along junior we are done here...

  • @RocketRitch88 apology accepted.

  • @2nose919, Funny because NO apology was issued, LOL! Reading comprehension works wonders and there is NO excuse for not doing it. Hopefully you learned a valued lesson to actually READ instead of looking at what you think your reading. It is actually really easy on YouTube, just click "see all" and everything is right there. They are generally no more than 500 characters long. Grow up and you could probably avoid these conversations with complete strangers.

  • @RocketRitch88 apology accepted.

  • @2nose919, Thank you for displaying once again your immaturity.

  • @Jr. LOL! This is getting more pathetic with every post. Put on your Big Boy pants now and grow up.

  • @2nose919, Soap Box? Mother fucker YOU MESSAGED ME! If you do not like my opinion then DO NOT FUCKING READ IT.

  • @2nose919, 23 year old? Give me a fuckig break, really? Grow up Kid, you are way out of your league.
