  • Aww <3

  • One of the most beautiful Beach Boys songs ever written

  • This is why you want to see this band as a cut above.

  • Fantastic

  • A fantasy of mine is to go to the beach and watch the sunset with a special girl while we listen to this song, and she lays her head on my shoulder. I just love the feeling of this song.

  • This song is soo beautiful..

Thanks for the upload and a happy new year 2011 :o)

  • U know- I wouldn't get it either had I not been in HS at this time. It is a time capsule. Sand, surf, girls, cars..too bad you missed it, kids.

  • Wolfsky9 - I've posted comments like yours hundreds of times on many sites. Brian had a unique gift (other than music) of knowing how most people felt and you can hear and feel his emotions when he sings. Young people can't relate to this because Brian was a romantic, even if a bit melancholy. True romance went down the toilet as the '60s ended and has never really recovered. Songwriters wrote "songs", not just words & music, which today's artists write and record. There is a difference.

  • @tonyrocco55 very well said. I heard Carl say once in an interview that music is "an expression of the spirit."

  • Probably the greatest voice...EVER!

  • Truly special & beautiful .......Brian is a rare talent !!

  • WOW WHERE HAS THIS SONG BEEN ALL MY LIFE

  • @aznmusica ur just an idiot.

  • @SiameseDream4321 i like the beach boys, but i think this song is boaring

  • @aznmusica You must be deaf lol

  • @aznmusica well I am assuming you might be young (maybe I am wrong) but as I got older I started to really enjoy slower music.........kind of like a musical lobotomy to smooth out the stresses of the day

  • @inkey2 ya im 13, i like slow songs i just dont like this type :)

  • @aznmusica hey, thats cool that you like vintage rock music......musically, you can learn a lot from following the music back in time

  • @aznmusica moron...

  • @playedthepawn give em a few more years and he'll appreciate GREAT music a little bit more ; HOPEFULLY!!

  • Wow, forgot about this song! I just realized how old I am but still love this music, thats a good feeling.

  • This is such a great album: surfer girl, surfer moon, little deuce coupe, catch a wave, in my room, your summer dream....not much filler at all.

    Thanks for the upload!

  • your moving is shit...the song is one of the best

  • とても美しい曲

  • I grew up in the 80s, but grew up as a Beach Boy fan.

  • fantastic!

  • the best voice of all time! incredible!

  • que hermosa cancion!

  • One of BW's " hidden masterpieces", from the Summer of '63. Pitch Perfect, Note perfect, & --incredibly, he was not yet 20 y/o. Gorgeous. Wolfsky9

  • I adore this song! It's so calm, quiet, dreamy, warm... like a summer evening at sea. maj7 chords usually create this unique mood. I so love the bridge, the passage where it changes from Bm to Dm!

  • This would be a wonderful song to slow dance to...perhaps on the beach? *smile*

  • an incredibly under rated song! one of my favourite beach boys tracks

  • The four Freshmen's influence on Brian is obvious here. I can hear this being done in 4-part harmony. jhp

  • Time has come for you to... "show your love"? Hmmm.

  • its not just the song that is beautiful but Brian Wilson's pitch perfect voice....

  • wonderful song...there's nothing to improve! this one and god only knows are superb masterpieces...

  • and those other 20 songs...

  • still a beautiful song! and, i still have this album! lonelystreet

  • Like "The Surfer Moon" it's from the Surfer Girl album. Many people hark on about how great albums like Pet Sounds, Sunflower and Surfs Up were, and they're right. However some people are just not aware of how good some of the earlier albums were. Your summer dream is in my top 5 and as an Englishman I'm saying that the Beach Boys were the best the States ever produced. The only true rivals to the Beatles.

  • Stunning. How old was he,19? 20? Whew. Just incredible. A lot of people write songs their whole lives and never get close to something this good.

  • It's one of those songs that's so beautiful you could cry.

  • I have the original album from '63. Its falling apart... but the BEAUTIFUL songs will be with us for a long long time.

Such a different time back then... miss it.

  • The all time summertime song!

  • Simply unreal.....what a voice Brian had.....

  • Nr 52 on the list of the 100 greatest song voices.

  • This is the song I played for my Dad, summer of '63. I was so in love with this masterpiece, I knew then that this was genius beyond anything we had seen yet in American Rock music. My Dad's remark: " if he can write, sing, and produce and arrange this, his future is unlimited. This song is really something." He knew. I knew. Summer, 1963, our world was so different. Brian, Graci Forever. Wolfsky9

  • I was about to say I can't get into that voice at times

  • No one has ever really come close to Brian's inimitable voice. IMO, the greatest all around talent in pop history.

  • and of course, my carl -- matt

  • Carl did have a great voice. Met him years ago around 1980 when he was doing a solo tour. Real nice guy. Left too soon.

  • lucky you matt

    candy

  • beautiful

  • complex but a pleasure to listen to,could have gone solo!

  • This is the first album that Brian had complete production of his records. He did this until Smile in '67

  • hey cadmaster101 those grandiose productions are some of the best recorded music humanity has ever heard.

  • rare beach boys songs on my channel!!!

  • Just incredible.

  • Utterly Beautiful! One of Brian's best.

  • Brian Wilson showing his real, pure talent as a singer. A guy in the studio recording a simplistic, yet sophisticated track without the grandiose production the drugs, insecurities and insanity.

    Innocence lost.

  • @cadmaster101 This album established Wilson as a top-notched singer-songwriter and budding top-tier producer and arranger. It took the impact of the Beatles to take it to the next level.

  • One of the few BBs songs without background harmonies... just Brian double tracking himself. Nice lyrics by his old college roommate, Bob Norberg ( Norman ).

  • I always loved this song and have it on an original Surfer Girl album which is one of the most valuable Beach Boy albums. I have all the albums...love to hear from everyone to what they think the value is of all the original Beach Boy albums...just as a bit of fun. (all the albums together...about 45 of them excluding the re issues and mangled up compilations)

  • I've been a Beach Boy "fanatic" since the

60's and I never heard this one...great arrangement and vocals...thanks for the memories!

  • Oh I have to dig out my Beach Boys records and put them on video soon.

  • This is truly, Brian's greatest "Hidden classic"; what a voice this man had. This, and, " Keep an Eye On summer" are 2 songs they never did in concert, and I so wish they had. Young People, you will never hear the likes of this again. Wolfsky9

  • @Wolfsky9 Your Summer Dream and Keep an Eye on Summer are two of my favorite beach boys surf songs. Lonely Sea is the other.

  • Beautiful, beautiful song and one of his prettiest vocals.

  • One of the most underrated Brian Wilson songs...Fairly rare! Thanks.
