  • Нахуй так измазывать проц термопастой??? Если кулер шел без пасты то, достаточно выдавить капельку по центру проца и всё....

  • CAn the ,otherboard run ati radeon 4770?

  • idiot

  • By the way. I never applied more pressure to that CPU than the CPU cooler would.

  • Dont push on the CPU it can brake

  • You may be experienced but it wasn't informative at all. And the products are delicate they way u were handling them could've broken it. Surpringly luck was on your side.

  • I have an amd phenom x2 215 processor (2x 2.71) Is that good too?

  • did you ever get that CPU overclocked. I have the same processor and i've been trying to get it overclocked but idk how and if it'll let me.

  • you never have to put yor finger ON the CPU... your corporal grease will take down the thermal disipation eficiency of the CPU

  • great video. perfect for anyone on a budget! and thanks for the thermal cooling tips.

  • What games do you play on this rig, grant? I have the same processor. I'm upgrading to either a Deneb or Propus.

I am actually building a new rig based on parts from my SFF system. I will be placing the 215 into the new motherboard until I can upgrade to a quad in a couple months. But overall performance will increase drastically because I'm going from the worst onboard video solution to a GTS 250 1GB. In addition, I'm adding 2GB RAM totaling 5GB. Also adding a 600w Corsair PSU.

  • @PurpleHoneyBear I no longer use this one. I was playing Halo 1 and 2 and also cod4 on it. It cried when I tried to play MW2 on it.

  • @gunnergrant12 Yeah, you have an i7 now, right? Very nice. The 215 is obviously an ultra low end dual core, sitting between the Celerons and Pentiums in performance terms. I wish I could go with an Intel motherboard and a Sandy Bridge CPU! Next year maybe!

  • this guy's a noob, look at how he ravagely pushes the cpu to the motherboard... so sad

  • @AnnoyingOrangeFan12 The cpu heatsink puts a lot more downward force on the cpu than I ever did btw.

  • @gunnergrant12 Yeah, the video is informative btw but you really shouldn't have pushed the CPU that way

  • and i must live with win 98 with 14 years (not enough money) :-( _ _ _

  • hi..were the same motherboard, but i lost my driver T_T sir plss can u link the driver i need windows XP 32bit

  • @Jhapskie26 just go to the website and download them dumb ass

  • hi..were the same motherboard, but i lost my driver T_T sir plss can u link the driver i need windows 32bit

  • Comment removed

  • It looked like you touched some of the pins there...bad. As well try not to put any pressure on the cpu when in the socket, to avoid bending pins. But other than that, nice!

  • LOL no Gamning Office

  • so you can put an AM3 Processor in an AM2+ Mobo?

  • @Badlyfar

  • That paste is magnifico. used it on my duel core e5700, and noticed a big performance difference, usually you dont, so what was on it before was probably shit.. and my pc runs cooler now.

  • @PlayerUnkown The Arctic Silver? That's exactly what I just ordered from the egg. I hear it's the best compound on the market. It bothers me that it was $4.99 with $6.99 shipping though! You know something Satanic and untoward is going on when the shipping is more than the cost of the item itself. But it's worth it apparently!

  • 2:36 - You can hear? BASSHUNTER!

  • hey man i got this budget small gaming rig. This spec is last year i bought it. And now i have phenom x4 965, hd5750, gigabyte ga770t-d3l. :) Biostar motherboard is nice for budget small gaming rig. :)

  • Hey if your motherbord says DDR2 can i put on matherboard a Graphics Card that it say DDR3?? plz tell

  • @MrKomras The DDR3 that the graphics card says it has is a completely separate thing than the ram that goes on the motherboard. If your motherboard says DDR2 you can ONLY put DDR2 on it. However the motherboard will allow you to put any graphics card on it if its the same slot type, no matter the memory type in the graphics card itself. Example I have a computer with triple channel DDR3. My graphics card has DDR5.

  • @MrKomras

in shorter way than gunnergrant12 said YES YOU CAN

  • i have these cpu on my pc does that mean i can upgrade to a 650 watts psu and maybe an ati radeon 5650 HD

  • I have this CPU!

  • installing windows 7 ultimate 64 bet ?

  • Even though AMD CPUs are PGA they still use a ZIF socket. You have to lift the lever just like an Intel mobo and the cpu should drop in effortlessly. THEN you push the LEVER down to lock it in place. NEVER for any reason put pressure on a CPU, you will bend and break pins and ruin the CPU.

  • this motherboard has a socket AM2+ i have this one

  • Two cores are vastly better than four or 6

It is well known fact that there really isn't much software out there at the moment that uses the full potential of four cores or more. A new build im doing at the moment focuses more on the graphics card and ram used. If you want to build a good gaming pc skimp on the quad core technology, the extra Front bus speed isn't going to really make much difference, get a nice graphics card that supports GDDR5/6 ram and HDMI output, and nice motherboard ram

  • and dude, u are bottlenecking the GTX 260 with the CPU...

  • lol, X2 215 its not even close to gaming.. not close to Office use!....its sux.

  • @RelaxedGameplays Yeah you would need a Athlon II x4 or Phenom II x2 min

  • Niwce,

I think its better to take Athlon II x2 245/250

  • am3 = 938 pins

  • Do you think that an AMD Athlon x2 215 would work good with an ATI Raedon 5770?

  • LMFAO holy shit, force that chip into the socket, your a fing tard, the cpu should just drop into place, NO PUSHING NEEDED!!!!!!!!

  • i will tell you a secret tri with a hammer to force that cpu and ram

  • I cringed everytime he pressed down on the dang CPU -.- lol

  • And one more thing. By using your bare finger to spread the compound, don't you contaminate the CPU with say skin cells, sweat or body oil?

  • @JimmyJones no thats what the metal on top of the cpu is for

  • One question though. Arctic Silver's instructions clearly indicated you not spread the compound around and simply leave a drop in the middle. Why did you spread it?

  • I'll be building my own PC this summer and it's great I found a 10 minute video on how to put everything together. I figured it would be similarly simple. Thanks.

  • thats a big video card man

  • why are you using your finger with nothing on it, oils from your hand are going to go in the paste. use a bag and wrap it around your finger and then do what you were doing. nice video man, just wanted to give you the tip.

  • @SylentCommando Shouldn't be using his finger or card or paper or anything... SHould jsut be putting it in the middle and using the pressing force of the heatsink being pressed down to spread it...

  • I have an AMD Athlon X2 245 processor 2.90GHz I wanna upgrade it to an AMD Athlon X4 3.00GHz do u think my CPU will run it there both an AM3 plzz help

  • yesterday i bought my athlon 250, ALMOST break a pin :< i got lucky and now running at 3ghz :D

  • now u have i7 980x lol

  • @dexdervinzippo This is true XD

  • I don't see you wearing a wrist strap for grounding, to disipate static. You might be wearing an ankle strap, but I don't think you mentioned it. While the components might work after installation, they might have been degraded by static electricity. But I'm sure you are aware of this and just didn't mention it in the video. Great video by the way. Thanks for making it.

  • My pc is gonna be a lot like that, i'm getting the x2 220, very similar, i'm getting a similar board, and the exact same ram, but i'm getting an hd 5670

  • @pilot2w Look at this rig. I mean...look at it!

It's unworthy. Of course, that CPU is just as fast, (maybe a little slower) than my athlon x2 6000+ windsor.

  • @Poseidon500 i have same cpu athlon 6000 windsor and there pretty good

  • @09hudsond Yeah but they run a little hot, by little I mean I can cook eggs on it . I'm upgrading to a phenom II x2 560. More powerful and only 80watts, compared to the 125 for the 6000+

I hope the other two cores unlock. I'd even be happy if only one of them did.

  • 3:36 oooooooo the pins are shining lol

  • you bitch too much

  • one small looking motherboard you got there

  • push harder the Ram ... no wait take a hamer it will fit in better :)))) lmao

  • everythings basic in your life huh?

  • Lol @ All the clueless people talking shit saying Quads are no use for gaming. I facepalmed so fucking hard I left a red mark on my face.

  • @Karmelloo Clueless?

Most games out there only use two threads which means only TWO cores of the chip will be used. THis is a fact man.

I'm getting a Phenom II X2 560, and it will be more powerful from a a gaming standpoint than A phenom II X4 955. Unless you overclock it.

I mean, quads are good for gaming, but in the prossess of playing a game, only two maybe three of the cores will be of any use. You can research this if you like man.

  • You applied a shit ton of force on the cpu and it didn't look like you used standoffs

  • isn't that amd 215 bottlenecking the gtx 260?????

  • He's rough and tuff with his hardware.

I always treat my new hardware, like it's some sort of diamond.

If it drops, it'll smash... or something like that

    Anyways, thanks for the vid.

  • would AMD athlon || x2 250 work with MCP6P M2+??

  • can you make a vid how to overclock the amd.

  • would amd athlon II x 215 would work for GTX 460?

  • @DE4THF1RE

It would but it would bottleneck it to fuck. Get a Phenom quad.

  • 80gig, eh? hope it aint IDE, cuz if it is, thats a severe bottleneck right there. I have a 2nd rig with a 80GB maxtor IDE drive, and its slow as hell. it has acoustic management turned on, thats why, but I cant turn it off... need a floppy and some files which disappeared in 2006. Also: I dont have floppies anymore, so im stuck.

  • i'm building mi gamer pc, with an amd k6-2 @ 430 Mhz. 128mb ram and vodoo 8mb graphics card, what do you think guys?

  • what games can run on this graphic card

  • Woah, when you were pushing the pc into the socket i was like ":O!!!" in RL! Btw why would you install windows VISTAA!? why not windows xp or windows 7? vista is trash :(!

  • DUDE YOU CAN"T TOUCH THE CPU U WILL GET YOU GRESS ON IT AND IT WONT BE SO EFFICENT ALSO WWWWAAAAAYYYY TOOOO MUUCCCHH PREEESSSSER WEN UU INSTALLEDD TO CCPU

  • The way you spread the thermal paste was wrong. Now you may disagree but spreading it by hand can cause air bubbles when you put your cooler on. There are much easier ways.

  • ur a dumb ass , go fuck off, most games nowaday u need a quad core otherwise lagg started to happen cause most game nowaday doesnt just run on GPU power but it required lots of power from the CPU

  • @coolgames14 wrong, no game requires more than a high end core2duo/i5 processor.

a core2duo E7600 will run any game you can get your hands on with a powerful enough graphic card.

  • @coolgames14 Its called building a cheap pc. I did not expect record breaking 3D mark scores so a dual was all I needed to play what I was playing at the time. Obviously lol.

  • i didnt ask for u to break the 3d mark record but building it like that is just like building a grand new pc, got 300 bucks u can do a bit better than that

  • @coolgames14

    :')!

If you really wanted to build a game PC you could be better go for a Phenom, since the L3 Cache helps a lot.

Athlon II X2 is nice mate. :) I sold my 240, but now I'm going to get a new one. I overclocked it to like 3,7 GHz, so it was pretty fast.

  • well, this guy is on a budget, so no phenom gonna be use, but if he like dual core, maybe a phenom dual core should do the trick, a phenom dual core cost much as the athlon quad core, it should ran around 3.00+ with unlock multiplier

  • @coolgames14

And you have the chance to unlock it.

Nevertheless a Athlon II X2 is fine.. The diffence between an X2 or an X4 in the most games is nihil.

  • @coolgames14

Actually, an Athlon II x3 is enough. And only because sometimes the third core can take care of some multitasking. Most games use only two cores and rely mostly on the GPU.

  • for crying out loud, like i told u, game nowaday games rely on cpu power too, a dual core is an example of why ur FPS drop

  • @Lawnsu yep, I did my research and invested in a athlon ii x3 440

It uses all 3 cores in quad-core supported games (most are only use 2 of the physical cores)

so exactly like you said, when a game is being played, 9/10 it's going to have a spare core for background applications.

people just want the biggest number of cores to shout out to there mate, be smart!

athlon ii x3 440 is about 50-70 pounds and can play anygame on the market at 60fps with a decent graphics card. puttin a 5770 in mine

  • @coolgames14 its a myth that quad cores are faster at playing games than duals. most games (except warcraft that can be played on most laptops anyway) take advantage of multi-cores. Warcraft can only use 3 cores.

Quad cores are only good for rendering and editing tasks compared to duals.

  • @massive0random well if the companies will start making games as unoptimized as gta 4 then the quads would be the best option sadly

  • @coolgames14 quad cores suck. period. dualcores still own the gaming market since quad cores dont outperform them in any POPULAR games. and no, GTA IV isnt popular, its a fail.

  • lol gta 4 is popular, if u think it isnt, then i guess u dont know how to play games ^^

  • @nelizmastr

Jealousy much, you poor bastard. Do your research before posting shit.

  • @Karmelloo im not posting shit. quad core fanboy. Ive done enough research to reach a conclusion. you're the shit poster here.

  • @nelizmastr

Rofl research out of your ass you poor little chink. Im not a fanboy of anything, and I dont have a quad but a 1090T so learn what the fuck you are talking about before u let shit out of your ass.

All modern games favour Quad and will soon favour hexacores. Go fucking try a dual core in Bad company 2 and then a quad, then talk shit

  • @nelizmastr

Rofl, now I see why you're such a retard. Autistic rubbish. Go burn with you're pro PC(lal)

  • @Karmelloo such offensive words describe how much you fail at life. dont bother me with your misery. now fuck off.

  • @coolgames14 quad for a cheap pc your the noob. 90% of games only use 2 cores...

  • lol sorry buddy but when u try to video editing or fraps it's gonna be a pain in the ass cause it gonna took forever and alot of lagg will occur so u know what, u should choke on a stick ^^

  • @coolgames14 its kind of funny cause you the childish one fag

  • @richyrichPS3 lol u know if u think my comment is childish, u shouldnt reply to it cause ur the child fag ^^

  • @coolgames14 Noob?

Most games ONLY use two cores. Most games do not neeed a CPU this powerful to run it.

  • @Poseidon500 umm was that necessary cause every single noob around here tell me the same shit u know u should stop trolling and fuck off

  • @coolgames14 I'm not trolling. I actually KNOW what I am talking about. Unlike you.

You call me a noob when I have been gaming before you knew what a computer was.

  • @Poseidon500 ok, but still is trolling necessary, no, fuck off u 38 years old loser

  • @coolgames14 Explain how I am trolling? Also, I have more information to offer here than you ever will. Besides, you appear to be the one trolling. Not I.

So maybe you should stop being a hypocrite.

  • I forgot to say that than its going to be hottTTTtttT.

From 40C to 55 which is safe value(C) overclocked to 3.3 ghz in full load you need only 1:35 which is pretty fast so whatch out when overclocking

  • This is good CPU i OC it to 3.3 ghz

  • never ever touch the pins on the cpu and never ever push down on the cpu...your first build huh? lucky you didnt screw the chip before you even tried to post.

  • Touch the pins more, I think there's a couple you didn't short out. Also, needs more force applied when you mount, I suggest a hammer.

  • Great powerfull processer!

  • i have to know this to complete my build. will an am2 socket fit to a socket 939 motherboard i think yes but dont want to take any chances

  • @ah0v1 lmfao.

They are different sockets, which means they are DIFFERENT. the answer is NO.

  • 22 degrees ( Celsius ) is room temperature ! so it is fantastic temp!

  • thats very cool at 22*C.. my quad core hovers around at 30*c with heatpipe cooler...

  • noob question: Do you need to install an os after you build the pc? or does it have one when you buy the componenets?

  • @thricegod1288 how do you want to instal it before the build? at that point there is nothing to instal to.

  • Hello, I am pretty new to PCs and your video was very helpful. I have the exact same motherboard and I am trying to install a Geforce 8500 GT 256mb to play some old games. Once I turned on the computer, I noticed that the colors and resolution was messed up. I went ahead and installed the drivers and updates, but the messed up colors are resolution still persisted. I reinstalled the drivers and the problem still persists. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

  • @jony763248 Make sure your video card is pressed all the way in the slot and pressed down into the board. Then check all of your connections going to your monitor.

  • @jony763248 hey jony it sounds like artifacts if its not just a simple color/resolution problem... hopefully its not artifacts because if it is then you will have to rma the card

  • i just bought the following:

Diablotek DA Series 250-Watt ATX Power Supply PSDA250

Biostar DDR2 NVIDIA Micro ATX AMD Motherboard MCP6P M2+

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane 2.5GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor

  • @BatchFileHelper

Lol, you wrote that down to make people want your PC lol... It's awesome...

But if you have enough money, I think you should get a 1GB DDR3 video card, instead of 512GB DDR2...

  • @BatchFileHelper athlon 2 x4 , the hd i would put a 250 max ram max 3 gb 2.5 6 is too much rest is good

  • Hey im soon getting a new computer is this good?

    AMD Athlon II X2 215 Dual-Core

    4 GB RAM

    1 x 500 GB Harddrive

    NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

    1407 MB Video Memory

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition

  • @Clankl33t if ure in a budget I'd rather get 2gb ram and a much better CPU. Check Newegg for some combo deals.

  • Spring for a better graphics unit, or upgrade later. I just bought a new pc-$400 got me

    athlon II x2 215

    640 gb harddrive

    4 gb ddr3 ram

    ati radeon hd 4250

windows 7 home premium 64 bit

    dvd+-rw burner

I love it. Plays most new games at 40-60 fps. But im probably gonna get a new graphics card when i can afford it ; )

  • ok are biostar motherboards good ??

  • "...these bloody wires?" You don't sound British/Canadian. Anyways, how much did this cost?

  • i'm pumped to get my new pc build going

  • only 80GB HDD!! WTF!! ;D Buy more

  • lol theres 940/938 pins, not 500 thats why its called 940 socket

  • Oh BTW, DDR3 will not work in a AM2+ motherboard. Also you lose your hypertransport when you put an AM3 cpu into a AM2+ motherboard.

And DONT TOUCH THE PINS! Awww if that cpu worls, you got lucky.

  • cpu is bottleneck

  • yo turn the tunes up!

  • i can not stop laughing

  • i have the same case i love it XD

  • Hey guys, i am new to pc's and am building my first one! i have this motherboard in this video. Question is, my case has room for four 80mm case fans. Will they all be able to plug into the motherboard? Do they plug into the power supply? how does this work? I have a Corsair TX650w power supply.

  • @saikimimaru Most case fans plug into a 4 pin connector on your power supply. There are I believe two plugs on the motherboard for a fan, but those are 3 pin fan connectors and not really used much. Your best bet is probably going to be having 4 pin molex fans so you can plug them into your board.

  • u can plug them into PSU!! easier than mobo!!

  • idiot u should not touch the pins on the back side of the procesor!

THis is very stupid build for a 2010 gaMing PC...

    Phenom II x2 550

    Gigabyte 770T USB3

    Sapphire 5770 1GB GDDR5

500GB Westarn Digital Black Sata II

    Cooler Master GX550W

That configuration will beat your PC rig.

  • @pandjabimc lol even the PC you just posted is nothing special. Yes it is faster than the one I am building in this video, but not by much.

    I will be building a PC in 4 months with the following parts;

Intel Core i7 980x 3.33Ghz (12 CPU Cores. Plan to OC to 4.07Ghz)

    EVGA X58 Classified motherboard

12Gigs of Dominator DDR3 Triple Channel at 1800Mhz (Plan to OC to 2000Mhz)

3x EVGA GTX 480 Graphics cards

    128GB OCZ solid state.

    2x 300GB Velocirators in Raid 0

    1600 Watt Modular PSU

    Beat it.

  • @gunnergrant12 mmm thats awesome! hey my dad wants to buy an OEM rig from HP, (doesnt want me to build 1 for him sadly) and it comes with the athlon x2 215. now im wondering, how does it fair in office work, windows 7 environment and watching videos. Does it take long to boot up? do videos lag? hows it perform and stuff? i cant find many reviews on this

  • @gunnergrant12 Just naming your dream PC, eh? Earlier you said you don't have the money, but now all of a sudden you have ~$4000 to waste?

  • @bIittIe Negative. I made sure my $48,000 a year college tuition is payed for before I spent a lot of money on a PC. Now that I am being payed $28 and hour I can start saving for it. Jealous?

  • @gunnergrant12 $28 an hour? Where you working? Internship? lol

  • @gunnergrant12 i wanted to know why on earth you pushed down on the cpu

if you have it postioned right it should go right in.no problem

if you dont have it in right and you push down, your gonna screw up you pins

and another thing, the intel 980x is a six core. not a twelve core and evga does not make a dual 1366 socket.do your research before you post somthing like that

  • @mikethemighty1 it runs as a twelve core when hyper threading is enabled. Also I never said I wanted a dual socket board xD. Read again before posting something like that.

  • @gunnergrant12 no. It runs as a six core. And cores are a lot better than threads...

  • @mikethemighty1 evga does make a dual 1366 socket for intel xeon processors. look it up on newegg.

  • You shouldn't have got that motherboard because it has the nvidia Nforce 430 chipset and thats old. I have the same chipset as you do but on a different motherboard. that chipset bottlenecks my ati 5770 and people told me that if I get a amd 790X chipset motherboard I would get a nice improvement. You should get a newer motherboard one day that has a new chipset. (newer chipsets still also support ddr2 and am2 cpus) And you will get a improvement in games.

  • @AdvancedGamer52439 I am a college student, do you know what that means? That means, Limited amount of money. As of now I do not have 1k to spend. I know what I am doing when it comes to building computers, and at the time, in order to fit the parts I already had, that motherboard was the best option.

    Thanks

  • @gunnergrant12 Oh lol srry my bad. Yeah I have very limited amount of money to and I only get my money on my birthdays and xmases. When I went to my local computer store my MSI K9N6PGM2-V was the cheapest motherboard in the store.

  • @gunnergrant12

Dude if u realy know how to build a good PC u should know that if u cant get the needed money dotn buy it!

  • @pandjabimc lol. as I have stated many times already, I said this PC was nothing special. Please read the most recent comments and my replies before making yourself look dumb and misspelling half of your sentences.
