Art in the renaissance was only considered art if it consisted of beautiful women... in rococo they redefined it and broke the "rules" of art by making anything and calling it art. So basically arcade fire is trying to say is that the rich are so blinded by their riches they dont understand that the poor are creating a positive impact on society aswell.

It's a shame that this sounds generic and repetitive to anyone who glances over it. At first I didn't see how amazing the song actually is but it has become my favourite. Subtle genius instrumentals and haunting vocals. Lyrics are a little lacking tho, imo.
It takes a really special kind of douche to continuously shit on a band they dislike through a ridiculously high number of YouTube video comments. Even if you're not a fan of Arcade Fire's music, anyone that goes out of their way to challenge this band's values or integrity is probably someone who feels unnecessarily threatened by it. And, when ignorant people are threatened by something, they unfortunately usually resort to criticism. He probably does promo for Kings of Leon.

Who cares what other people think? I love this song. It makes me move. It doesn't have the same universal reaction - nothing does, which is why things are individual. We don't all like the same or love the same. Embrace individuality or you're the douche.

Arcade Fire; One of the greatest bands out here, they scream musical creativity. & their music can both completely impower you, & rejoyce or break your heart. You guy are amazing, keep on doing what you do<3

It's a shame that this sounds generic and repetitive to anyone who glances over it. At first I didn't see how amazing the song actually is but it has become my favourite. Subtle genius instrumentals and haunting vocals. Lyrics are a little lacking tho, imo.

It takes a really special kind of douche to continuously shit on a band they dislike through a ridiculously high number of YouTube video comments. Even if you're not a fan of Arcade Fire's music, anyone that goes out of their way to challenge this band's values or integrity is probably someone who feels unnecessarily threatened by it. And, when ignorant people are threatened by something, they unfortunately usually resort to criticism. He probably does promo for Kings of Leon.
