he sings it in a rather-rock style. FYI, he doesn't have to follow the exact style of the real singer. In fact, the idol contestants here are encouraged to sing in their own styles. If he follows exactly Air Supply's style, he would be booed as Karaoke singer. I think his voice is amazing (check his other performances and you'll see most people from many countries agree with me).
