When you want to make nodes on the automation track you can make a selection of area on it, then just grab the section and pull it up and it makes the points for you :)
@Bflatest Thanks for the tip! Just to clarify what's being said here, use the marque tool to select the area of automation you want to adjust then switch back to the pointer tool and drag up or down. Logic automatically makes the four nodes for you.
Very good video! Question though: I noticed that the automation occurs for the entire track. Is there a way to apply the automation to say, a specific audio clip? I often move my samples all around the project to create different mixes and so I'm thinking the automation would end up being a bit jumbled around in the process? This way a "clip" automation would work better? (if it exists that is)
The way that the automation works in Logic is like a large format console. If you apply automation to a particular region and then try to move it Logic gives you an option to move the automation with the region. Or if you're confident that the automation is now part of the final sound you can "render" it as an audio file. For this take a look at my Bounce and Export videos.
Thanks! I always enjoy your tutorials - No nonsense or gimmicks and at a comfortable pace to digest it.
