@sarahbarah4562 just bought this today. after playing in depth. the exploration aspect of the game is similar skyrim, but the gameplay itself is much different. there is a completely different combat engine going and it is a little bit more fast paced than skyrim is in battle scenes.

This game is freaking awesome, I'm addicted to it. Theres nothing better than TRY to kill a pack of Ettins in hard mode, I find it really challenging, worth those bucks for sure. Never played Fable so I don't know how it is, but between Kingdoms of Amalur and The Witcher 2, I pick Amalurs battle system, so much bloody fun :P

Skyrim is good but, to me, it just feels like somebody has made a very generic RPG and done it magnificently. The combat is fairly clumsy and not too entertaining after a while, though it is an improvement from Oblivion. The Story of Oblivion was also more compelling and less generic as you got to watch as another person became a hero like yourself only to surpass you when he died.

Skyrim is 'You're the messiah. Kill this dragon.' I also dislike the fairly bland colour pallet unlike ESIV.

Played the demo from Steam...TBH I liked Skyrim alot more....Felt alot more immersive....I didnt like the camera in this one and no 1st person view really hurts the immersion.....Also the combat feels wierd....I like games where the combat is right on with my actions/reactions....This one I'd hit the left mouse once and I'd attack 5 times or more while the NPC just stood there...The graphics and story are solid but not enough to drop 60 bucks on it.....

It is like Skyrim in the fact that you decide how your caracter plays and where you go in the game world. Its a bit like comparing Halo to Modern Warfare. There are some basic simularities but each is its own game at the end of the day.

@ThePlaystationOwns Both games have their ups and downs. Skyrim's graphics look incredible, the story is immersive, and replayability is high. Downsides to Skyrim are multiple random glitches and bugs not likely to be solved soon and slow/clunky/dull combat system. With Reckoning you get high speed involved combat, more stable/less buggy gameplay (so far...,) interesting story, and fair replayablitiy. Downsides are cartoony graphics, no jumping, and funky camera angles.

@ThePlaystationOwns One other thing to consider is likelyhood of expansions. Skyrim will almost certainly have one or more expansions. With Reckoning it's a bit less certain. Both games are fun to play. I would suggest perhaps trying out both of them either through demos, friends that have them, or renting them and see which of the two you like best if your only going to get one or the other.

@DreadJester01 there are already 3 dlc out for this game ( 1 bigger expansion and 2 big class and character add-ons ) that is on playstation, not sure of how many on pc or xbox, Although this game is looking to go for the gold as in it is being featured by the ps store so far and as for its add on it has gotten a 5 out of 5 stars by about 10k players so that is one less thing players have to worry about and stuff for more are to come.

@ageofamit no, it's different. You can equip different kinds of weapons regardless of your destiny, too. So even if you're only good with magic, you can still use long swords, daggers, hammers, bows, etc. also, I've noticed with long swords that you can time the attacks differently for different combos. You can also unlock different power attacks and such.
