I saw them last year in the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, It was awesome except for the fact that I was the old guy in the audience failing miserably at recreating his youth by moshing his way through the crowd. Everytime I hit the floor there was a rush to pick me up and save me from myself.
Ironically, the last time I'd seen Sabbat live was in McGonagles in Dublin circa 1989. Loved it all.
The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there.
I was at this gig, 15 years old, and if the quality was better I'd be able to spot myself in the crowd. As a local boy whose musical heroes were mostly from the US and continental Europe, Sabbat were something very special. I bought the demos, went to the gigs, exchanged letters with Andy and felt connected to the thrash scene in a way I'd never imagined. Those first two albums are amazing and sound just as good today. I'd like to catch them live again some time, it's been 20 years for me!
they were utterly unique! I loved 'em! Met them as well, but yeh Walkyiers vocal is unique, it's all the 'ahhhs' that get me. By god you must prevail, for if you fail the demons make a meal of youahhhh! Soooo cooolahhhh!
Does ANYBODY know what the heck is the INTRO music? it sounds like a Richard Wagner coposition, it also opens the VHS "The Beginning of the End". It sounds soo beautiful and Epic, perfect for such a GREAT band! Sabbat is sorely missed :( -MAVIII(progulus. c o m)
This si the song that changed my complete view of metal as an artform...when i heard it in '87 I was changed. They are the best ENgland had to offer in the '80's
FUCK YEAH!!! Great vintage footage of one of the best bands of the Thrash metal era! History of a Time to Come and Dreamweaver are classics. HAIL SABBAT!!!!

A few has wondered about the intro; It's the 'Main Titles' from 'The Final Conflict' (Omen 3) composed by Jerry Goldsmith.

Damn! What intro is that?

Excellent that someone got this on video! I was there. Anyone remember the trendies shouting "greasy bastards" from Long Row? Ha ha.
