If I'd have written this movie, he'd have shot himself right there. That's how it should have ended. The ending was good but that was one powerful scene and to end it with suicide would have truly shown the mental horrors of war. Pretty dark I know but the right ending for the movie in my opinion.

I absolutely LOVED this film. So real and to the core. As a civilian, I may never know how difficult and traumatic it can be for any soldier that has gone through this, but I my heart truly goes out to them. Tobey Maguire delivered not only a powerful performance, but his best to date. I had goosebumps and I definitely got emotional. What a talent. He deserves an Oscar for this. He should've received the golden globes IMO.
