The one thing I don't get about this game is the whole concept of people vanishing into the life stream. When people return to the life stream, aren't they just talking about the soul, not the body. If they all disappeared like that, how did Tseng find remains of people in a grave? So confusing.

It's a theory that the long time of exposure to it geared his system for it and the shock of Zack's death forced him to finally overcome it. I think in Advent Children they mention that he still has problems with it.

@nacto0 This is a part of a scene that was included in flashback in the original FFVII. Zack is telling Cloud he has somewhere to stay in Midgar, and that he'll become a mercenary. Then he turns to Cloud and says, "so what are you gonna do?" As if he'll be on his own once they reach the city. Then comes the exchange you see at the end of this scene.

Well I wouldnt bother with that. Its a bogus plot to link the game with dirge of cerberus which is plain lame and stupid. It breaks the whole story. Just think of it as a backdoor to create more franchise. Only crisis core lives up to the original final fantasy 7. Everything beyond is a very lame attempt of moneygrabbing.

After watching the videos, but not played the game, that Genesis really doesn't have any real idea as to what the "gift of the goddess" really is. Every time he's asked to what the gift is, he comes up with a new answer. So, either he's crazy, or it's bad writing trying to add a nice layer of FF style philosophy to it. .... Buut I'm going with crazy!
