I find Mel C over-powering though I admit she's a good singer. When it comes to first part of the chorus "goodbye my friend", you can hear her pushing forth her every single ounce of strength. Luckily for Posh, she had a good deep base and is able to control it well without being over-powered. And she's smart to sit on the chair! Why would they even have chairs then? That's just my opinion. =) Cheers.

Listening to this song really made me cry! The way the fans, the WHOLE arena/stadium singing together just made the situation more emotional and sad..

The song is not really dedicated to her but everyone always took for granted it was about her... the song was included in their 2000 album Forever, but it wasn't a single from it. It was just included there, 2 years later.
