My cousin Matt on drums - way to go! I last saw MH live in Brum in the 80s but their style today is great. Wish I could get over there to see them. Must find out if they are coming over to UK. Seems to be lots of talent in my family near and far ;)
xXMileyHopeXx: I was was there too! The Baggot Inn with Christy and the Hearts in full flight........Jayney mac! Nothing to beat it! Awesome stuff. One mighty outfit with Christy belting out the political material. Wow!
If only these lads played more often - I don't think they realise how huge they could be this time around, especially if they included some of those great vocal performances from the first two albums. to my mind, by limiting themselves to the instrumental performances they are losing out on some great music, and also an opportunity to widen their audience.
I used to go see the Hearts live twice a week in Dublin back in 81-82. You are right, when Christy Moore or even Mick Hanly were the frontmen the band was a force of nature. They were far better live than on record. Still I must admit they sound pretty good 25 years on...thanks for posting the video.

Last night, Galway Arts Festival, I was there, awesome stuff! You have to see and hear this done live..... I was as near as this person recording this and it's every bit as good as you see and hear it here; better in fact! Brill!
