most sufi's are sunni ... but I think that most qari's from Egypt are of sufi orientation.

Correct... Al azhar belive it or not is actually quite sufistic, and it's teachings and aqeedah are inspired by various sufi groups. al-Ikhwaan al Muslimeen have ashari-matooridi aqeedah of the bad kind.. wa audhibillah... BUT one is able to find salafi and Ahl us-sunna wa al-jamaa scholars there..

I remember the best selling islamic book in syria this autumn was "As-Sihr al-Halal" (wa audhubillah) meaning in english "The permissible witchcraft/sorcery", CLEAR KUFR without and excuse.
