@JoFri24 you can get the same exact user experience with Linux distributions running on a virtual machine as you can on a real machine. I am not going to format my hard drive every time I want to do a review.
@LinuxSpatry i dont think so, you cannot says something of the compatibility with the hardware, bootup speed, 3d grafics or real speed of a distro in a virtual machine, but ok. i thought you have more than one computer (25 old ones), so you let one only for testing distros. :-)
I love these reviews. It gives a nice idea of the different distros out there. I recently switched to Pinguy OS because Spatry has made it look so cool.
But I am also getting to see other distros out there and the different flavours of linux.
@LudwigSpiegel I wrote an instrumental piece to compensate for background noise. That said I needed to make a melody that blends in and is not too distracting... so yea, ELEVATOR MUSIC!
Hi Spatry many thanks for reviewing BlackBeauty I am so glad you like it, your video is spot on and I am glad you seem to be feeling better, have a wonderful xams buddy and ill catch you live in the next few days maybe we can do a screencast together. Keep well spatry and ill catch you soon.
Is there another download link, or can somebody upload this somewhere NOT google related? I don't want to make a google account just for downloading a linux distro...
@DLDAcoustics Unfortunately I do not know of another location to obtain this file. Check with Icyos to see if he will offer alternative download locations.
Great review! Just wanted to add info on Puppy Linux installs. Burn the ISO to multisession CD (or DVD) and you can save changes, tweaks, wireless passkeys, application installs, all back to the CD or DVD. No user input on the burning, it knows what to do. Encripting the "SAVE" file is also an option. More practical to point file save to a USB stick but the CD thing works fine. You can also have multipul versions in separate folders (HDD or USB). I use one to tweak/trash, one to run power apps.
Dood! You got your green screen working! Awesome!! WOW I LIKE THIS DISTRO! Since you can run it from a disk - and save changes - I can talk my relative into trying it and may use it myself on my LapTop. Great review, awesome distro!
Good review video, nice music.
