OK – Those with a 2001 SC2 ignore 99.2% of the above video!
You need a flat tool (screwdriver) Open the glove box. The 1st tabs Rich shows just pop out of the slots of the surrounding frame (or remove like he showed but more parts to lose) the door drops down to the floor. Then pop the rear pins inward and you’re all done! Out and back in less than a minute! Grab a 7mm if you want the door catch (for some reason?) or want to take the trim covering the Air bag off?
helped a lot, I never do any sort of work on my car, but the fan done died and this is Florida. Saved me a tone of money and got it done a lot sooner than a shop.
is it possible to get a new glove box that has a lock on it or add a lock to an existing glove box? thanks

@Jamieslay I have never seen one and to add one looks like a little bit of work to do it.
