Is there alot of free roaming in this game? in chamber of secrets for ps2/xbox you can go all over hogwarts inside and out. in the 4th one it was just missions.

@DobbyNeverMeant2Kill if you get the order of the pheonix on psp, when playing the game you can unlock characters to play as in the duelling feature in the start menu when you load your game, but its different dulling you can choose to fix your wan on the opponent and have the duel, or you can explore the area you are, as long as you get away from the opponent and don't get followed, one of the characters to play as is luna, also theirs hermionie, ginnny, chow, ron and lots of other's.

@DobbyNeverMeant2Kill oh no im sorry t hear that, but i think you can get good quality ones that are cheap/ very good priced for what they are at amazon, really even second hand one's should work properly and not break as easily, i have a second hand psp and its worked for year's, so have a look and you might should find one.

sorry for getting your hopes up but it was just to let you know you can play luna in harrry potter.

actually you can duel as luna in the wii half blood prince. :)

also their are other modes like the minesty of magix battle's, same process choose characters fight or explore area, but you can play as villans as well as the good guy's, in those battles you can play as members of the DA or the Order, from Dombaldore to Tonks, and villains like belatrix and lucius malfoy, oh sorry i didn't mention, in the Hogwarts duel's, you can play as the industrial sqyadto.

But to unlock all locations and characters you have to complete the game first.

Im thinkinh of buying this game so can someone just assure me its what i want: i had chamber of secrets and loved it because it was an adventure game and you could explore, I hated deathly hallows because every single scene you had to fight so you kept repeating the same thing (i didnt get half way through the game as i got bored) so is this ideal? can i explore ? and is the half blood prince any good either?

Umbridge reminds me of a teacher I had in High School. She had that annoying high pitched voice and talked to us like we were a bunch of five year olds. Not to mention if we all found something that was remotely fun for us to do, she prohibited it, among other things that I'm not going to list because if I did, I'd be here all day.

@blackweb12345 No, it doesn't sound stupid. in fact it is something every true HP fan wishes to do: to use magic as he wishes, not as the game demands.. :)

But sadly, we can't use every spell over others. But we can use stupefy and expelliarmus over them whenever and wherever we want to. :)

I liked this game particularly because of your connection with the environment (reparo/incendio/wingardium leviosa) but in HBP (6th year) the dueling style is better and much more realistic. But then again the dueling in this game is unique in a way you can pick a fight wherever/whenever you want.

I love the castle here... I've only played HP1, 2 and 4... and while it was fun visiting and all (especially in 2... 4 was bad IMO... 1 was kinda fun but also very short)... Hogwarts never felt like it was really alive. Now, it does. That's sooo satisfying (too bad it took them 5 games for that though).

Hp2- eh, game

hp3- noot so good

I fro one loved both of the first games because of that. Sure they are old and the graphics by today's standards are horrible but they did kick a lot of ass.

Umbridge was so cruel to Harry I thought I wanted to use the Avada Kedavra myself on her. Ha ha ha! Or Harry, When she made him use that quill pen to carve "I will not tell lies" on his hand. That was uncalled for and seriously child abuse in my opinion. But she got what was coming to her at the end of the book being carried away by the wild Centaurs in the bushes after calling them filthy beasts. Man, I wished they brought back Firenze back into the movies.
