I don't really understand why Godric was so tired of living at the age of 2000, while Russel Edginton (3000 years old) didn't have such problems. In the end, it depends on each one's personal character.. Godric could'nt bear the boredom.

Godric rediscovered his conscience (in my own opinion) and the world around him just wasn't the same after that.

@barkinas I'm not sure. I don't think they have ever mentioned it. I do believe there are more flashbacks to come in this season concerning Godric, so maybe they will explain it. :)

He was brought back to Rome and sold as a slave to a roman master, who eventually revealed himself to be a vampire. His new master was cruel and sadistic. @barkinas Godric was turned by a Roman Lord, after he was taken to be a slave as a child, he was turned at 16, he in turn learnt everything her could from his sadistic maker b4 killing him (For all the torture he had endured as a human), for which he was shunned and fled from from Vampire higher order and became a Nomad.. Finally finding Eric.. Well so say Truebloodwiki..

As for the end, I believe he has evolved into something greater..

@SweetCandy4Me Godric is Eric's maker - 1000 years ago when Eric was a Viking warrior and he lay dying. Godric asked if he would like to live and be a companion to him. So he made Eric into a Vampire. Godric got older and lost interest in life, death and killing. Godric let himself be captured so he could end his life. Eric was hell bent on saving him but Godric just could not keep living, so he took his own life in the sun.

Short but sweet version. Not enough room to explain it all. :)

@Lishot13 Thank you I was aware of that but often if you title your videos the same name of the song they get blocked audio right away. Experienced vidders will change the name and use one of the lyrics instead.

I also felt the line "Give Me Reason" from the song fit Godrics character - He was looking for reasons to live but found none strong enough to keep him from doing what he did. He knew in the end that Eric would be okay without him, even though it would cause Eric great pain.

I originally started out with a whole different video LOL it just sorta took on a life of its own and I ended up taking most of it apart and redoing it with Eric and Godric.

It was sorta rushed because I wanted to finish it and get it up.

I was sad too, because Godric won't be in the series anymore and the character was fantastic!
