  • Wow! A lot of political argument going on in here. I ain't gonna touch this. Okay, maybe a little. I'm kinda conservative- ish. In some respects only, I mean. But I've always had an open mind. I've heard what Limbaugh has to say, and while I can respect opinions that I don't agree with, on both sides. While Limbaugh is often taken out of context (and who isn't in politics?), he also has chronic foot in mouth disease. And he's an asshole. I don't get his appeal, personally.

  • Limbaugh is a draftdodging drughead so who the hell is he to call veteran soldiers who were awarded purple hearts phonies?

  • The only soldiers liberals support are the phony soldiers like Jesse MacBeth.

  • Sorry about the head injury, but Limbaugh was not referring to you when he was talking about "phony soldiers." He was referring to those such as Jesse MacBeth.

  • Vote Vets is the Wesley Clarck Puppet Show

  • Brandon Friedman, an obvious beneficiary of the 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' policy...

  • Yes Yes he disagree with W so he must be gay unlike ultra-hetero Larry Craig.

  • @cmitchz yeh, real mature cmitchz. you fucking moron.

  • Ah, don't you love it when the left goes nuts over success in Iraq? The troops are doing a fine job.

  • It's like I've been sayinh the MSM is lyinh all is well in Iraq.

  • The context was that the left finds soldiers who haven't really served.. so-called soldiers, the caller said, "phony soldiers", Rush rephrased, and set them up as the spokespeople for the war. Rush was also referring to Jesse MacBeth, Jimmy Massey, Scott Thomas Beauchamp, Amorita Randall, Josh Lansdale, Micah Wright, all of whom made up stories that were totally false about their service or who never served. Sorry, these are just the facts.

  • I heard Rush's comments live as they happened. He was not calling soldiers who disagree with the war phony soldiers. You'd have to listen to the entire dialogue starting with comments before the caller, who was a soldier, by the way, and go from there. A 30 second soundbyte won't do it. People who say Rush was dissing the troops simply do not know what they are talking about.

  • fact vs fiction.

  • That was a pretty civil debate. You don't get much of that these days.

  • When will you guys get the fact that Rush Limbaugh lies through his teeth? He was actually referring to a previous caller, of whom he knew nothing except that he claimed to be a vet, a republican, and against the war. This is the way Rush deals with people he disagrees with.

  • Rush is right, again. His term "phony soldiers" was in reference to those who claimed military service and/or awards who did not serve or earn them. The same was said on ABC News 9/24/7. Where is the outrage towards ABC?

  • CALLER 2: No, it's not, and what's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.

    LIMBAUGH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER 2: The phony soldiers. If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to serve. They want to be over in Iraq. They understand their sacrifice, and they're willing to sacrifice for their country.

  • See, he was only talking about phony soldiers just like ABC news did. Thank you for proving me and Rush right.

  • Proper english would be Rush & I turdclown. Rush can lie, but the transcript doesn't. It's placed in context. He lables any solider who talks to the media about opposing the war, or doesn't think we should be in Iraq a "phony solider". Don't expect you to understand this since you're using far right neo-con divisive partisan hackery as your tool. You'll have to square with yourself someday. 70% of Americans see you as you are & disagree with you.

  • No, Rush only labeled those who are phony soldiers as phony soldiers as ABC News did. Telling me 70% of Americans disagree with me, tells me nothing. I am not a Clintonista hence I am not motivated by polls, but by what is right. In this case that would be Rush.

  • Just saying "no" without addressing his words in the transcript is the equivalent of a 2nd grader folding their arms saying, "Nuh-ah". If you don't want to join the rest of us in a representative democracy where majority rules, perhaps Canada's more your speed. They have free healthcare. You appear to be a mouthy ignorant far right neo-con partisan hack. Good luck with that, let us know how it works out...

  • Rush is a fucking liar. He was referring to the previous caller. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Rush can't bring himself to admit it or apologize for it because then he would have to admit he was WRONG about something. I hope he CHOKES.

  • Let's settle all of this: Take a poll among active military anywhere they're deployed. 'Who supports you more? Rush Limbaugh or Harry Reid' Any takers? No?

    Shocker.

  • Lol, gets a TBI and becomes a Democrat.
