The Skylarking album is probably Colin's finest hour as a songwriter, and this is a gorgeous song. What made XTC a truly great band was Colin being able to supplement Andy's genius with super songs of his own. He had a real gift for melody.
I was listening to this in P.E. one day- I remember it well. I was reading 'The Book of Five Rings' sitting out basketball.
long story short, they forced me to play, I put down my walkman, took the ball and kicked it into the basket from my seat-(totaly unexpected amazing fluke). After that i sat down, put XTC back on and contined to read at chapter 5--=)

I think everybody id forgetting that Todd Rundgren produced this album. He added a lot to the bands sound on this album.
