They used to make trailers and opening scene for games, the dumbasses decided to spend their ENTIRE capital on this game so when it didn't make a penny because it had glitches up the ass they went under.
Majesco which published the game is also in the shit with all their sales going RED, they will probably go under in a year or two

Admittedly no, because I read that about 1 or 2 months ago. I'm fairly certain if you did a google search you'd be able to find it, but if I had to guess, I'd say I read an IGN article where the Mustard brothers spoke about taking the project to a new company.
@Vinasear and not to mention a few bugs here 'n there on the xbox version, namely Enorym and Kalem's capes constantly phasing through their bodies, and enemies not dying when you have Unlimited ammo on.

i will be going into college next year to study computer science in order to be come a video game developer. once i get my own video game idea off the ground with the help of some friends i hope i will have the money to purchase the rights to the game and the studio and give them everything they need to finish the game.

If they actually pushed back the development another year or two, and worked a bit more on it, it could have been a hit, or at least made much more sales than it did back then. What really hammered the last nail in the coffin was that $1 million contest they promised, but failed to follow through on due to insufficient funds, this deterred a lot of potential buyers.

@infinitextimes Yeah no lie... This is one of the few games that had a story that could rival Mass Effect or maybe KotOR. A lot of things were wrong with it, but it had the one great thing that couldve catapulted it into a full saga. @TurkishHegemon the 720 will be MicroSoft's response to Sony's PS4 (which Microsoft will pwn, btw). As for which system it will be out on, definitely not PS3 because development on the sequel hasn't progressed past diddly in the timeframe left for PS3 usage. If it were to be released to sony (which it won't), it would come out PS4. It may be released PC, because this IS Microsoft we're talking about, but that's unlikely since PC and shooters are a retarded mix in the first place.

@zulu012 For the Xbox version it was mostly bugs. For the PC and Xbox I believe controls were mentioned as an issue.
I think part of it was that people were saying Advent Rising was a rip off of Halo, when Halo doesn't have shit on this game.
