1998 was one of the last great years at Le Mans before Audi and then diesel cars ruined it. Gotta love that Ferrari 333SP, and those sexy 911 GT1s!

i really miss GT1's like this...these times a Corvette was a GT2, but in nowadays its GT1...as you can see, which was only good for the second line ten years ago, this time is the best.

Does annyone have the game le mans 24 hours ?? Because this movie makes me laughing because the trailer of the game uses a lot some shoot of this part of the race but in this game, you have not the mercedes GT1 nor the officials porsche GT1... ^^

I have it, too. You're right, the game's based on the 1998 race of Le Mans. Maybe they left out the Mercedes and other cars as wire22wire said, because of copyright issues. I think there aren't all cars included in the game, I think the Roock GT1 and Giesse GT1 depict Porsche cars (there are also GT2 Porsches). But I don't think there was a black McLaren F1 in Le Mans in 1998 (you can see it sometimes in the game on pictures and background bitmaps).

Several of these cars are in Gran Turismo 4, including the Panoz Esperante GTR-1, the Nissan R390 GT1, the Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR, and the Toyota GT-One (TS020), and I'm impressed at how similar the circuit looks on GT and real life.

They were both awesome, but 99 didn't the F1 GTR, Porsche GT1, or Panoz GTR-1.

The CLR crash was pretty intense though.

Wow, I had forgotten how stacked with manufacturers the field was at this time. Toyota, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, and Panoz all with works cars, not to mention all the private 333SPs!. Shame that by 2000 Audi would be alone to dominate for years.
