It's a perioprobe. Personally, i prefer an amalgam-carver or flat plastic instrument

the name of the string is a retracting cord and the hemodent controls the bleeding.

I think that the brownish liquid is Thermostatic agent named "Hemodent" and he used "retraction cord" to apply the stringent.

that guy is lucky if he can still read after that session.

The best solution is 2 implants , after you extract yhe loose tooth. Implants are better than bridges cause we don't have to prepare other two teeth ,this means loosing 4 teeth.But be sure that u don't have any systemic disease that will affect implant placemen.Considering the cost it varies from place to place ,but be sure to choose the right dentist, caue implants are easy but need care.

Preparation without water - even light finishing will add to the traumatic insult to the pulp.  Looks like the MLi needs crownlengthing ...and....a crown margin at least .5 mm below the amalgam margin.

I agree about the cooling,u was right,however the 2-3mm enough to wark as a furrel.
