On March 23, 2007, Club Penguin opened up a beta testing opprotunity to anyone willing to volunteer. This was when the mail system was being tested, and the map of igloos. Anyone who did it could be a green puffle and experiment around, and when the test was a success everyone got a red beta helmet on April 30th. I guess it would be like the pink and yellow party hat which was a beta hat also, but the red helmet doesn't have a lot of people believing it was one.
Anways, red helmet = beta test
