Do you move into a home and put up insulation over the dry walls? You did that in your conversion and didn't take off the metal walls and ceiling to insulate in the cavities as you would in a home remove the drywall and insulate in there. Instead you added over it. Take the metal off and lose the weight from ceiling and walls and the "bus" windows put insulated windows in. Check out our web site for help
Nice! I'd be interested in seeing more of the rear set up. My wife and I are thinking of converting a bus and possibly modifying it to hual one Jeep in the back rather than a trailer with 2 Jeeps.
Belive you made good walls and ceiling insulation. I found it is impotant for AC or heator. Very rare temperature is NORMAL, usualy it is hot, or cold
This has to be one of my favorite conversions. I am wanting to do the same , So i can haul my VW beetle That way I do not have to use a trailer and it will be protected from rain and dirt.
Gas engines are dinosaurs. Plus expensive to run. Diesel engines can run straight used veggie oil, which can be purchased really cheap or you can get it for free. Unless you got money to burn?
I have measured the Charger and it will fit even with the bathroom/shower and kitchen. Why have a bus as a carhauler? Simple! You can have a place to relax, eat, and shower after the race! Or car show! I paid $900 for the bus and will have $1000 more into it!
I would'nt drop any diesel in it! International v8 gas engines are tough as nails I remember when I was a kid where I went to school they used nothing but IHC buses all v8 gas when they switched to ford buses all gas all the drivers used to say the old IHC buses had ALOT more power!
still i wouldn't it!! the 345 was a GREAT motor you don't buy a vehicle like this for mpg anyway!. I would put a 5.9 cummins in before a dt 466 210 hp they load up pretty bad if let them idle . I had a 86 IHC box truck and a 90 that did this I hated it!!!!plus injection problems I sold them both and bought two 1989 ford ln8000 trucks with L10 series cummins 270 hp 10sp eaton trans(which I would honestly prefer over the 5.9) but still IHC gas v8's are very tough

Cool. I have a 1978 IH Loadstar 1700 conversion. Does not look as good as yours though. I like the rear adaptation for car hauling.

I don't know if it still is but the "Ford" used the same International block for the "Power Stoke" diesel.
