However you misunderstood my explanation - the absence of use of a tail will of course not cause it to shrink or disappear. However if something no longer servers a function (IE tails), and yet it's still costly (needs food to grow, can get injured, etc) then natural selection will favor those with less of a tail, as opposed to more. Hence, no apes have tails.

Abiogenesis is indeed "unknown", meaning that the explanation for the evident transition from no life to life is unknown. However abiogenesis is the FIELD OF STUDY which hypothesis how this happened. But it's not "unproved", because there's nothing to prove - it's a FIELD OF STUDY. You can't prove a field of study.

Abiogenesis is indeed a field of study - that's a fact. And as I explained already, you can't prove a field a study - that part is just basic logic. It's a collection of hypothesis, and none of them have been demonstrated as a theory yet. This isn't some secret, or something one needs to "admit". It's called honesty in the face of the unknown. And it's something that you and many creationists seem genuinely surprised to see.

People have faith in all kinds of things, and they usually think that THEIR faith is more real than others. But unless you can demonstrate an evident difference between Christian faith in Yahweh, Muslim faith in Allah, or Hindu faith in Shiva, you've got nothin'.

@JesusRealTV Well I agree that an evolutionary biologist knows more about evolution than some random guy. First thing we can agree one.
However you misunderstood my explanation - the absence of use of a tail will of course not cause it to shrink or disappear. However if something no longer servers a function (IE tails), and yet it's still costly (needs food to grow, can get injured, etc) then natural selection will favor those with less of a tail, as opposed to more. Hence, no apes have tails.

If you want to see evolution in action look up ring species. there is an excellent example of ring species in a gecko in California. evolution doesn't always have to change the outside appearance of animals, sometimes the changes are within the animals. it is important to note that evolution occurs in populations and not in individuals.
