  • Great work, any award truly deserved.

  • Beautiful... one can only imagine what is really out there in this strange, supposed universe we live in... critical thinking at its best.

  • Genial !

  • What is the name of the song? I can't find it anywhere! I searched what you suggested but i still couldn't find it . Could you email me the full song?

  • @KeleentProductions Born into It Chillout Mix

btw have you seen the 1 Trillion FPS camera

  • That is beautiful! Excellent work. I'd say time well spent :)

  • WOW!! If I want to take pictures of the sky/stars like you did here, is 50mmF1.8 good or 30mmF2.8 do a better job? I should go for the lenses with the lowest possible F numbers right?

  • Im gonna smoke a bowl and watch all of these videos back to back :)

  • Overwhelming and awesome - this takes astro time lapse to a new level...

  • Hey mate, do you have a list of the gear you use? I'd like to get into photography more and I'd love to be able to take shots half as stunning as this.

  • Great video...I like the starry sky

  • Unbelievable! Your work is great! Thank you a lot!=)

  • i really love this video .. thumbs up

  • cara é muito massa ;D

  • Can you post more info on your camera and settings?

  • Pretty cool, but the music wasn't that nice

  • would a 24mm 2.8 lens do?

  • @frankytap it should do fine

  • @terrastro thanks, what kind of timer device do you use?

  • @frankytap I got one from ebay, they are $20

  • @frankytap I use a standard kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5) and get pretty decent results, a f/2.8 would be better. I'm still wanting a full frame DSLR or a sub 18mm lens to get more of the sky though.

  • I badly want to see this in real life...

  • This is beautiful ... great video , fav :)

  • utterly stunning!

De cuánta exposición son las fotos, para que se vea la vía láctea?

    Voto POSITIVO!

  • Where on the southern coast is this? I'm moving to Australia, and I'm very curious!! :)

  • it's great that technology has enabled us to show the true beauty of the universe to people who might never know it existed.. and this has got to be one of the greatest examples!

  • serious question, do you ever see anything weird in the night sky(UFO)???. Love your work mate.

  • Does it really look like this or is this a special camera?

    Amazing video by the way!

  • unbelievably beautiful video!! the sky it's astonishing

  • Amazing! Orion is upside down! You must be in the southern sky! This makes my attempts at night time-lapse look pretty pathetic!

  • Yes, you can't do this on city sky's, to much light pollution!!! Terrastro thank's for charing.

  • Hi this is an amazing video the clarity is fantastic when you shoot these frames does it link them as one file or are you using a program to play them back at so many fps.

  • what are the white lights moving along the horizon that change direction, Please?

  • @FlanneryDiehl boats...

  • and its just like a planetarium

  • I see the horse there!!! 0:08

  • Absolutely mesmorizing!! :D

  • beautiful...amazing!

  • Hey!

Amazing video, love it. But I have one question. What kind of post processing programs do you use and how mutch?

  • Made me weep, amazing.

  • awesome...:OO

  • At 4 seconds into the video...do you actually see that when your far enough away from light pollution, i mean...does that huge formation actually fill up the sky like that? Basically, I live in a city, so i never see the night sky like this...

  • EPIC!

  • einfach wunderschön!!!!!!

  • Great job! My brother has an excelent camera I'd like him to get his damn driver's license to get out of the city for shots like this.

  • absolutely mesmerizing video. good job.

random, but what's the reason that you can only see such stars like this away from cities?

  • @q23gf8902h3g4j

because street lights, cars and other lights emit upwards and make the sky background brighter than most of the stars.

  • @q23gf8902h3g4j being at a high elevation where the atmosphere is thin makes a huge difference too. That's why telescopes are placed on mountains or volcanoes. "like Keck for example"

  • Total and utter kudos for this mate. *bows down* I love photography, I'm just starting out, but this looks incredible.

  • Really great. Do allmost all the places show stars like that, or does it depend on the place of the earth that your on?

And one more thing, does a IR Filter helps to capture that?

  • @nesquikADDICTED You need to be far away from city lights to see the Milky Way like that. No IR filters used.

  • @terrastro humn, just away from the city then. No Special cameras, no special filters nothing? [:

    Just the camera settings.

  • @nesquikADDICTED

yes, a DSLR with wide-angle lens (18mm kit lens will do for the beginning) and a tripod is all you need. Wide open aperture (f/2.8 or f/3.5) and 15-30 seconds at ISO 3200. If you want to make a time lapse then you need an intervalometer for your camera, which you can get for $30 on ebay. Then set it to click through the night with the minimal delay. Another item you would want is an external battery to get more than 300 shots out of it.

  • @terrastro If i use anything above 50 iso the picture is as grainy as hell. I live in a very light poluted area and use a very crap samsung digimax v800, f2.8, focal length 8mm-23mm (35mm focal length 38-114). Any ideas?

  • @terrastro At first my compliments for your wonderful creations, I've read about your council to take picture on long exposure, you have some tutorial to start to produce timelapse video like yours?

  • 1*

  • Helemaal geweldige video Terrastro, ook relaxe spacie muziekje erbij, schitterend!!

  • wow this is an incredible video, I love the music too

  • this is just fantastic... its hard to comment on something so beautiful...

  • hi there, is your camera IR sensitive?
