Charles leads the praise and worship at the church I attend. His life backs up the songs he sings about the Lord. This song is one of my favorites that he sings. It reminds me of God's unconditional love. God bless you, Charles. We love you at TRBC.

Allright Mister Billingsley...I didn't see the choir sing or the piano player play...thereforetherissss has a soundtrack!!!! You know, I watch this guy cut up and I think "what a goob"(in a good way of course). Then he goes and does this. Lifeless church? Wrong key? First it is not a sin to make a song your own by changing the key or arrangement, we call it interpretation. Second if the people seemed lifeless...what do the mesmerized do? Or did no one notice the old people in the back corner square dancing to this song?

That is actually in the right key, it is Dm, which is were he started then it moves up to A minor. Its perfectly on target. He is remarkable, and a very humble person, I know him personally,him and his wife and God has truly blessed them

I was just listening to a sermon , where the topic was mercy. The speaker taught although we should pray for mercy, we should never ever think God HAS TO extend it . This song really is a humble pleading for mercy, as we should pray for it . wow

Charles has an amazing talent and is darned funny as well. He led worship at my church for a couple years here in San Diego. My only gripe as a choir member was he was spontaneous and hard to follow sometimes... lol

As for the comments about people seeming lifeless in that audience, I am quite reserved myself in church. But do not doubt for one moment that there's no passion or emotion or excitement, because believe me, it's there!

He is, without a doubt, the best gospel singer in the country. I met him years ago when we opened for Newsong in Omaha (Soul Support, an a cappella group) I am so impressed by his musicality and not just his range. This is coming from someone who is very picky about giving musicians compliments. The most important thing though is his heart, just from our brief conversations, is just as good as his music.
