Hey, im driving an 08' FX35 and was just curious. I hit like 6000rpms at like 60mph but let go of the gas right away cause thought something was messed up about the car since it didng shift and was going up to 6. Just got this car recently so i dunno if my car is messsed up or do you think it was about to switch back gears between 6-7rpms?

Hey, Im not sure what happend that time with your car... the computer prob just got confused when you let go of the gas and thought you were going to stop. Ive had that happen to me, but I doubt its something serious.

hey i have an 07 FX35 and was just wondering about reliability of your vehicle, i saw the mileage on yours (82,846) and was wondering how its held up so far out of curiosity.

I no longer own the car, but drove it up to 105,000 miles. Unfortunately my engine blew a bit after from buring excessive oil every 3 days. After talking with Nissan/Infiniti USA and researching around, since I had the 1st line up of the FX launched ( in 2003), there were some vehicles with the oil consumption problem. This problem no longer exists in the VQ engines so ultimately you bought a great car!

what do they have for an engine? im guessing they share nissans 3.5 from the maxima but im not sure

The FX uses the same 3.5L engine as most Nissan V6's, but the 2003 models used identical engines from the 350z of that year.

my mom has an 04 fx45 lol lets just say getting on the freeway is fun just listening to the power of the engine and its fast it gets 0-60 effortlessly

Yeah well if anyone is racing stock for stock with a civic vs an FX35 then the civic is gonna lose after all this FX has the same engine as a 350z ;)

Ok, one last time, I as well own a CIVIC!!! I don't understand how you guys are comparing that with an FX????! Its only about 1000LBS heavier and a different body class. Like some of the more car intelligent say, with money of course you can make a civic faster. You can do that to an FX as well. I've raced an SI before and it kept up well, but a normal civic will not keep up for those who haven't driven a stock civic before. You can say V-TEC and all, but Nissan just makes pure engine power.

I drive an fx35 with all the toys in it, premium package, technology package, hands free, navigation, AWD, etc. when waiting iddle on a stop light in a 4 lane road with civic, acura (luxury line of honda) and even lexus, as the light turns greeen when you hit the gas without really doing it hard, you leave your dust to the other cars. it is an infiniti fx thing and they will not understand it till they drive one. LOL!

i dont know if this is an fx35 or fx45 but yesterday i had a launch with a fx35 at a red light and it just goes same as mine which is a 1.6l 2007 manual civic. We got upto 160kmh(100 miles) and none of us could pass each other. Seemed pretty weak for a 3.5l V6 with 280 horses in it.

yea ... sure as hell not 6500lbs , or it would take fuckin 13 seconds to do that ! Check the specs on it , and tell me what it weighs. My F250 weighs almost 7000 , and its a Heavy duty truck. Even a 2500 series GM crew cab weighs in at 6200lbs . If you think for a second an FX weighs 6500lbs , somethings wrong

watch out FX guys , the Ford Edge has the 0-60time beat on this by at least half a second or more. Not to say the handling is better in the ford ( which its not ) but in a straight line it'll beat it.

put it in 1st and get up to 25mph. youll be at about 5 or 6000 rpms then floor it and shift to 2nd right when it redlines. you will be at 60mph in 2 sec.
