@G0d2good Lol, halo and gears of War and no charm at all. The reason is because games nowadays are all based on multiplayer and graphics,and just copy the other game next to them. Sure, Battletanx was based on that(Multiplayer), but that's when games were developing on-line gameplay and other crap, that and multiplayer was local, so it's you and your friends. All in all, games are just unoriginal today. I mean really? A game today is either, an FPS with a military/sci-fi setting or sports.

Thats true but look at halo combat evolved, when multiplayer was just local it was amazing! In all honesty your right to many games are shooters with a military/scifi setting. A lot are really bad, but some of them do have there own unique charm. However the nintendo wii seems to be the last refuge for more original games based on fun. But all in all games for the most part have the intent of being fun and for people to enjoy.

@G0d2good True, The only games that I see that are fun nowadays are Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source...and that's all I can get from the tops of my head. Most of the other games are older.

@G0d2good Yeah, but the companies behind the, Valve, support there games for years. You can mod those games if you don't like it. Also, look at Team Fortress 2, it leaves "let's be real" and enters "let's all have fun while we have tactical gameplay!" Look at Blizzard, they know how to make great games. They even still support 12-10 year old games!

I love Valve they are great! Do not get me wrong i just wasnt sure where you were coming from since you brought up TF2 and CS two icons of fps multiplayer that you said was to much of a focus of current games. Anyway, Blizzard is great but dont count bungie out completley, they are very fond of there communnity, maybe not on as large a scale as blizzard due to one of its primary focuses being MMOs but they are a great company who makes quality games!

Its hard to imagine what will be done next to improve video games considering graphics have almost nearly been perfected in some games and the stories are so large..what next?

Nevermind of asking you to play Battle Tanx, supergamerguy64. I got my N64 hooked up and ironically, bought the original Battle Tanx from Game Haven. Anyway, I do agree that the music and storyline on Battle Tanx was better, supergamerguy64. But gameplay and graphics are better in Battle Tanx Global Assault.

Good question. I got this game on Christmas in 1999 (the year BT: GA) came out. So, 3DO was probably trying to get this game on store shelves before the holidays?
