If you travel from cold places to warm places it can be expensive, but if you are lucky enough to dive locally, cheaper. Expensive is a relative term, but it might be cheaper to do a shore dive than to pay for gas to drive to the beach. Equipment can be expensive or reasonable, depending on where you buy and if you can get good used stuff. Check out Craigslist, but wait until you have been certified and have a few dives before you buy too much gear. You can rent equipment to start out.
see like, when i go to Grand Cayman wit my fam, we stay at the Meridian on 7 mile beach and i guess they hav dives that people come and pick u up at ur beach or something? are those worth ur while? or shuld u take a taxi to like a red sail sports place or something? (im talking snorkeling and diving)
Can't say which of those is better. If either one gets you under the waves for an intro dive, you will love it. Asks the folks that offer thse just what they include and go for the one with that will get you on scuba gear with some training and down to 30 feet or so for an intro dive. GC has a lot of great stuff to see.
sounds like a lotta fun. im just like paranoid i'll see like a shark or like a barracuda or something, cuz i'd be like scared outta my mind it'll like, bite me or something.
Nice video! The one you got from 1:45 to 2:14 is a Bridled Burrfish (Chilomycterus antennatus)

WP, If you take the training, follow the rules and stay within your limits, SCUBA is a safe sport that millions of people have done.
