  • jfk would never have been a republican, jfk was an irish masshole democrat from boston, forchrisakes people ted kennedy was his younger brother.

  • Thank God Obama was not president!

  • NIXON SHOULD HAVE WON IN 1960

  • I think the americans never got over the death of John F Kennedy and I think they never will

  • JFK was the last great democrat president. All dems after him are and we're turds.

  • One of the greatest movies about the cold war i've ever seen. Beautifully directed and great acting.

  • FUCK ANY MOVIE DISRESPECTING OUR FALLEN PRESIDENT.

    JFK ALL THE WAY.

  • @OGWALLACE69 I agree, and if JFK were still around today, he'd definitely be a Republican. Right on!!!

  • @guyfroml He and his family were rich, so yeah, they would probably be Republican and put all effort into keeping their money safe.

  • @DII117 There is this prevailing MYTH in today's society that somehow it's the Republicans are the supposedly the "rich" people's party. Check with both the Internal Revenue Service and a great book titled "Who Really Cares" by Arthur C. Brooks, and you'll learn that of the 20% wealthiest Americans, that 72% of them are registered Democrats. Also read the "Blue Pages" a record of who gave to which political parties and candidates, published by PoliPointPress, and SEE where the money is going.

  • @DII117 Both sources, factual and undisputable, "blows to bits" the myth that the Republicans are the party of the selfish and elitist rich!

  • I have to write an essay on the Cuban Missile Crisis so watching this film was interesting.

  • i need help about something; one of the last lines in the movie was about the middle-east, what was it exactly ?

  • American Online Keyword: Thirteen Days ... talk about dated.

  • one of my favorite movies love it.

  • did they really need kevin costner for this movie??

  • Thank God Bush wasn't president in 1962.

  • @OTJberb16 agreed, he would have rolled every B-52 available

  • @OTJberb16 You can say that again. It would have been a nuclear apocalypse if that lunkhead was at the helm.

  • @OTJberb16 Thank God he was on 9/11.

  • @OTJberb16 Perhaps Bush would have been more respected by Khruschev @ Vienna, and not embolden him to put the missiles in Cuba in the first place

  • @BluePlaca73

    LOL.

  • @BluePlaca73 Superb point!

  • @OTJberb16 Maybe if Bus were president in '62 we would have found out what the Soviets were planning in Cuba long before the missles ever arrived there....bet you neve thought of that...but isn't that typical of liberal-progressive - not thinking?

  • @OTJberb16 Goes to show how ignorant you are of thing of the past.

  • @OTJberb16 we need another Kennedy in office!

  • @jdmifsud14 no we do not

  • Best trailer ever !

  • dear God--Costner's accent is horrible!

  • Kevin Costner is horrible in this movie. Bruce Greenwood is pretty good

  • americans have placed missiles in Turkey, what provoked the crisis. When the SOVIET union in response placed missiles in Cuba, americans surrounded her ships and were going to attack. Americans just do not have started the third world, they are worse than the nazis. And Kenadi criminal!

  • @TheUkr2011 coming from the Ukraine, how could you say such a thing.. you pitiful jerk... by the way, it's KENNEDY, stupid..

  • @irish89055

to me there is no difference, what is the name of your bandit Kenadi or KENNEDY.

  • It seems you must be one of those that "benefit" from Soviet regime. Close to the Party. Good times of abundance while the rest of the people had basic stuff. Or you must be Russian and those even in occupied countries like Ukraine always had more "luck" than the locals when getting apartments or job. Or you must be very young that's why you do not know the beautiful experience of deportations or happy chats with secret police or to know your mother tongue is a "language for dogs", right?

  • @immantiat

What kind of nonsense are you talking about? What is the "language of the dogs"? Ukrainian? So it was called the poles when occupied Ukraine.

"Or you must be Russian and those even in occupied countries like Ukraine always had more "luck" than the locals"

You're crazy? IN the USSR the work of the apartment and give all, no matter what nationality you were.

  • @TheUkr2011 Да бесполезно таим что либо объяснять,все равно не поймут.

  • Excellent movie, I highly recommend it, especially to kids in school. I was just over a year old when all this was happening. Imagine if JFK, MLK & RFK hasn't been killed. How different the world would probably be now, Viet Nam would had probably ended for the US in 1964 or 65. I hope all the scum bags who had a hand in killing all of them are burning in hell.

  • @TheDeparted112570 true but that was a failed planned mission inherited from the Eisenhower/ Nixon admin. the cia was going to launch the attack either way, didnt research or plan it well so that Kennedy would be forced into sending our military in to help the cubans/ CIA and from having a major political defeat. JFK stuck to his guns in a night that must have been hell for him. but which probably saved the lives of thousands maybe millions. there was over 40k soviet soldiers already in cuba

  • search basijupiter on google

  • on "basijupiter" you can see the 10 jupiter bases installed in the south of italy...

  • Amazing, amazing movie.

  • WOW...and this was only a trailer and I was scared...imagine how scare would I be if i was alive those years

  • Greg Kinnear made a better JFK.

  • @jennywhojenny Yeah, I even took off my top and got killed by him.

  • Thank God Bush was not president in 1962.

  • @OTJberb16 Yeah and Obama too...

  • They mention the nukes in turkey in the movie dumb ass

  • searched this movie after watching xmen first class/playing a lot of black ops

  • amazing !

  • cann somebody qivee meh like the resumen of this moviee?? i qotta do a paraqraph 4 mah history class cann some1 help mehh pliz??

  • @MiSSmiL3Y14 no.

  • so was it a 20mm sparrow or a 40mm sparrow

    that was so funny

  • This movie was a cassic.

  • @viperdawg41192 wtf?? JFK had to deal 5 times with what bush had to deal on 9/11...... this consisted a nuclear treat to 5 or 6 cities dont forget a NUCLEAR THREAT not a fukin hijack....got nothing against 9/11 to be honest i fukin celebrated when they killed bin laden but comparing that to this damn theres a BIG difference

Yea and i think beside obama and Lincoln......JFK is the REAL president the US have ever had. he tried to evade war and to look after the american citizens

    ty for reading

  • hope you like :)

  • later on Russia wanted to plant nucler short range missiles on it they were pointed directly for the US....the US blocked cubas ports and said with a warning that if any ship would try to cross it would be sunk later on RUSSIA and the USA came to an agreement that RUSSIA would REMOVE its missiles from cuba and the USA would REMOVE its misiles from turkey. Russia accepted and peace was kept. btw the USA claimed that it had nothing to do eith the assault of the bay of pigs.

  • the USA couldnt come to an agreement with fidel castro cause he saw all the corruption with the US with the dictator before him....fidel castro took over all the sugar plantations owned by the US and claimed them goverments property later on the US closed all trades with cuba tried to get him down but fidel castro looked the other way and started trading with Russia...Fidel castro and nikita kruschev met and discussed....they started trading sugar for machines

  • OMFG......cant believe u guys..... im not american im maltese i have History option....we have done this topin on the cold war and belive me this is my favourite topi.....the cuban missile crisis.....now JFK did the best he could on this problem he tried to evade war since technology had advanced to nuclear war.....he helped the exiled men of cuba in the bay of pigs he supported them with full navy and airforce hell the cia even trained them but fidel castros army outnumbered them 10-1..

  • Song of trailer ? 1:43 ?

  • awesome movie. Kennedy handled it excellently, but it was nothing compared to what bush had to deal with. 9/11 would've been incredibly difficult for any president to deal with

  • i like how bashing bush boosts peoples ego.. its sad and pathetic of you people.

  • It's not fair to compare to Kennedy's decision with Bush's. They were two completely different situations that required handling in different ways. Bush did what he thought was right at the time and I bet he would have been criticized for not acting as much as or more than he is for making the call.

  • Its a good historical drama, and well worth a look.

  • I have become interested in the Cold War and got this DVD today, looks good.

  • 195,000 views only? that's ridiculous. this is one of the greatest historical non-fiction films. i'm not a huge JFK fan for many reasons which i won't get into. but the way he handled the cuban missile crisis was brilliant. 99% of the time a war wouldve broken out, and who knows if i'd be here to write this comment?

  • incredible movie. seen it maybe 8 times..

  • when was this movie made?

  • Well if the war did happen. It would be like the book of Eli. The soviets would hit the states from Cuba then the Americans would hit the soviets from turkey, berlin and all those places and then everybody allied with everyone would cause a fallout. There wouldn't be anyone around right now.

  • im not saying i wanted the cold war to go hot, but i would sure like to know what would happen if it did.

  • The guy who says "I'm prepared to wait for my statement until Hell freezes over" is Adlai Stevenson. He ran for President in 1952 and 1956 against Eisenhower. He was a college professor and most Americans didn't like that he was "smarter" than them.

Thank God he was Kennedy's ambassdor to the U.N. : )

  • where can i watch this online?

  • usa placing strategig missile in turkey and soviets in cuba

  • it was all kennedys fault

  • to: thefrogger15

    from: mskeith1969

subject: no need to apologize but i DO stand by my comments.

  • in minute 1:18-1:24 its funny

"your in a pretty bad fix mr. president"

kennedy--> "maybe you haven't noticed your in it with me"

    haha kennedy treated that guy

  • This is what i love about Youtube. A movie trailer automatically becomes a political debate.

  • John F Kennedy, the last real president this country had.

  • @IHighLikePlane oh really? well what about nixon, ford, reagan, bush41 and bush43 or even for that matter lbjohnson (that is what my mamaw referred to him as). the abovementioned presidents did FAR MORE, along with ike, than jfk EVER DID!!

  • @MsKeith1969 All of those presidents you mention were immersed in corruption in one form or another, JFK was not. Why do you think JFK was killed?

Johnson was probably the worst of them all, in fact much of the information points to him planning the JFK assassination in order to escalate our position in Vietnam which made a lot of money for him and the military industrial complex. In fact right after JFK was killed he changed the legislation that would have us begin pulling our troops out.

  • @IHighLikePlane NOT!

  • @IHighLikePlane obama?

  • @blondyboy88 lol...you're joking right? Obama is Wall Street's puppet. Just look at his biggest campaign contributors to see who is really controlling our country.

  • @IHighLikePlane well duh of course i am

  • @IHighLikePlane yea, a real president cheats on his wife

  • @iDraw3G

What they do in their marriage doesn't matter to the presidency?

  • @IHighLikePlane

You re right. Everywhere is the same, serves the financial interests of politicians.

  • @IHighLikePlane agreed

  • @IHighLikePlane Kennedy and Reagan the real last presidents this country ever had

  • @joah45 As much as I like them, the Kennedy's were involved with the mafia and other illegal activity too. There probably hasn't been 1 perfectly honest president in history.

  • @macfreak21 yeah reagan

  • @IHighLikePlane Obama is doing good IMO

  • @sherlock8898 Doing good at getting us into an illegal war, giving the corporations who caused this depression billions of dollars, hiring ex Monsanto executives to head the FDA, and backing the environmentally disastrous Tar Sands pipeline.

There is no democracy in the monetary system, because the people with all the money control the government. Kennedy planned to pull out of Vietnam, but the giant arms and steal industries didn't like that very much.

Where does campaign money come from?

  • @IHighLikePlane and what are you doing to help make america a better place? Look the presidents job isn't easy you should know that. Obama is doing everything he can to fix the mistakes that bush made but it's going to take more the four years he has. If you think you can do a better job then why don't you try and become the next president.

  • @sherlock8898 Thats my point, the whole system is too corrupt to expect any "leader" to be moral. By the time they're in office they're bought and paid for. After that, if they decide to do whats right they are killed. We need a system void of corruption, greed, and power.

I am an activists, I give people the seed of revolution, information. I advocate a Resource Based Economy proposed by the largest social movement in human history, the Zeitgeist Movement. Check out the film on my home page.

  • how hysterical

  • Just watched the movie. Interesting that the closing credits attributed the National Emblem March to Sousa. This is incorrect, the march was written by E. Bagley.

  • This is your report caaaaaaard!

  • @supersweeper59 Dude, I think you missed my point. There is no oil in Afghanistan. It's like accusing us of stealing all those cacti in Alaska.

Julian Assange is guilty of espionage, period. I don't read WikiLeaks, and I never will if I can possibly help it. "Evidence" can be planted, faked, and spun six ways to hell and back. Although I don't believe in the death penalty (Jesus already paid that :) ), certainly the guy should be locked up for the rest of his life.

  • @FubarAlAkbar No oil in Afghanistan? Are you joking? There's a whole line going through it. And no, I don't believe Julian Assange faked thousands of documents and several videos that show our troops slaughtering innocent civilians in the Middle East.

  • Yeah, shame on us for taking all that oil in Afghanistan :P

See, that's what looking at WikiFreaks does to your mind, pal. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry in this world knows that Julian Assange is a liar. Our troops are heros, not murderers. There might be the odd nutball here and there, but most of those were in private security firms, not the U.S. military. I don't have to be a right-winger to be sick of hearing people insulting our troops and belittling their sacrifice.

  • @FubarAlAkbar A liar.... with written and video evidence. Do you just discount it all as being forged? And yes.... shame on us for taking millions of lives over oil. I'd say that's a problem.

  • All you liberals who like bashing our military, let me tell you something: those boys are overseas right now bleeding and dying to keep your worthless asses alive, and that includes the generals who have to send them into harm's way. The fact that they fight just as hard for those who are not worthy of their sacrifice as they do for those who are, is a testament to their heroism. So quit whining and start thanking them for their courage and sacrifice.

  • @FubarAlAkbar They're not keeping my ass alive. And it's not like we went over there to defend ourselves, we went to take their oil. They're over there terrorizing and murdering innocent people. Ever gone on WikiLeaks? Maybe you should check it out. Real heroism alright

  • @FubarAlAkbar They're not keeping my ass alive. And it's not like we went over there to defend ourselves, we went to take their oil. They're over there terrorizing and murdering innocent people. Ever gone on WikiLeaks? Maybe you should check it out. Real heroism alright

  • @102LBC ajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja

  • I sent my ex to rent this movie a few years ago, but instead she came back with the movie 'Thirteen'. If you don't know what the movie 'Thirteen' is about, then I suggest you look it up on IMDB. You'd be pissed too.

  • 2.29-2.32 <3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol cuba almost got erased from the map :)

  • @sixtoruiz THIS SHIT WAS REAL? I SAW THIS MOVIE, I THOUGHT IT WAS BULLSHIT.

  • @mahavishnuxc Yes, according the Macnamara, it was very close to what happened.

  • @diggiemac no its a quote from the show, "the sopranos" IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN IT, WATCH IT...MY GOD IT IS THE GREATEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO TV. i recommend it, highly.

  • @diggiemac

He's quoting Christopher from THE SOPRANOS. It was from the episode when he and Paulie Walnuts get lost in a snowstorm.

  • Fantastic Film, JFK was the man!

  • Saw this movie the other day on cable, it was a dam good movie.

  • "I'm the Commander in Chief of the United States, and I say when we go to war."

    CLASSIC

  • JFK and Stanislav Petrov are heroes !!!

  • Thank God Stalin wasn't dictator in 1962...

  • what a movie...

  • Thank you JFK for not letting those crazy right wing nuts destroy the world.

  • The only thing that can be counted on is the bond between good men. <3

the soviet understands only one language, action. respects only one word, force.

    hahahahahas

yeah lor. action is what makes history dynamic!

  • Captain Pike (aka Bruce Greenwood) played a damn good kennedy in this film.

  • Khrushchev tried to alther the balance of power by placing nukes in Cuba. This happened owing to the failed Bay of Pigs invasion shortly after JFK became president. The subsequent tete a tete between JFK and the Soviet premier in Vienna did not go well for the young American president. Mr. K pretty much kicked his butt in the meeting.

Khrushchev took from his encounter with JFK that the new American president could be pushed around. This was a grave mistake on Khrushchev's part.

  • John Fitzgerald Kennedy- Somebody make that man a fucking Saint!!!

  • @TiberiusIRE Yeah, no kidding!

  • Very thought provoking and makes me wonder what would happen if Bush or Clinton were in that same situation. Kennedy was the best President post World War 2 by stopping a world war breaking out before it even broke out.

Rest in piece John Fitzgerald Kennedy

  • @jbchampion82 or obama....

  • 0:50 fucking brainwashing shit.

  • @AlisherUA quite true in 1962....apparently you weren't around at that time???

  • pretty good movie, but I wasn't impressed by Bobby's character

  • AHORA CASTRO DICE QUE LO SIENTE... CÍNICO!!!

  • ..great movie......only Kevin Costner's accent bothered me.....

  • quelqu'un connaît le titre de la musique à la fin de cette bande annonce ?

Anybody knows the title of the music at the end of this trailer?

  • "Kennedy and his staff saved the world from destruction."

    And military kill him. :>

  • Thank god Bush wasn't president in 1962

  • @Vertigo2903 Yeah, he would have randomly bombed Canada, LOL!

  • @Vertigo2903 lmao

  • @Vertigo2903 lmao!!

  • @Vertigo2903 RARELY IS THE QUESTION ASKED: "IS OUR CHILDREN LEARNING"!

  • @Vertigo2903 WELL BY GOD AT LEAST BUSH UNDERSTOOD, AS DID REAGAN AND PAPA BUSH, THAT THERE ARE SOME FUCKING BASTARDS OUT THERE THAT ONLY UNDERSTAND EITHER BRUTE FORCE OR THE THREAT OF BRUTE FORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO DUBYA!!!! GO REAGAN!!!! GO NIXON!!!!! GO PAPA BUSH!!!!! GO IKE!!!!! GO FORD!!!!!

  • @Vertigo2903 i agree with the general lyman lemnitzer lookalike when he stated "those damn kennedys want to ruin this country if we don't stop them"! i sure wish RONALD REAGAN OR DUBYA was president in 1962!

  • @MsKeith1969 Sorry, but you are incorrect....General Curtis Lamay was the one you are refering too. We all should thank God that John F. Kennedy was President in 1962. He saved the world from nuclear war and a year later gave his life for his Country.

  • @Vertigo2903 people as far right as him scare me because they would just look for a reason to push the button

  • @Vertigo2903 yea!

Secretary Of Defense Mc Namara: Mr.President...we can plan an assault of 90.000 men 7-8 days after the airstrike...what do you want us to do?

President Bush: After a month of 2 this will happen right?

Secretary of Defense Mc Namara: Yes this is correct mr.president.

President Bush: Alright gentlemen....let's attack cuba

    Council : 0_o!?

  • @Vertigo2903 100!!!!

  • @Vertigo2903

Too bad Kennedy wasn't president in 2001... :(

  • @AlleUndWir

lol, I know right? To think of how incredible things would still be.

  • @AlleUndWir or another kennedy at LEAST

  • @AlleUndWir You dumb kids crack me up!! I suppose your response to 9/11 would be to do nothing and be a pussy, while terrorists and terrorist camps spread like a plague all over the middle-east. Kennedy would have done the same thing Bush did, had he been president in 01. Kennedy launched an unprovoked invasion of Cuba, for Christ sakes. Why dont you ask the family members of all those people who died on 9/11 if they think Bush did the right thing...dumbass!!

  • @mct1967

What "invasion" are you talking about?

  • @AlleUndWir Bay of Pigs. Learn some history kid!

  • @AlleUndWir .....What if Bush was president at that time.......!!!!!!

  • @AlleUndWir agreed

  • @Vertigo2903 I second that! What will happen when the next Cuban Missile Crisis comes around? If it happens, I only hope I'm right at the center of downtown Pittsburgh at work should it get hit. Better than shitting out your organs and your skin falling off in a slow death. Sheesh.....

  • @Vertigo2903 You dumb kids crack me up!!

  • @Vertigo2903 maybe if bush was president... we probably would have won the bay of pigs because U.S would have gave the xcubans full support and taken out fidel castro......... and the cuban missile crisis would have never happened

  • @Willsturd No, he would have fucked things-up an started a nuclear war that theoretically would have ended the world.

  • @Catclaw01 how? If he won the bay of pigs... cuba would be either a commonwealth or an Allie. There wouldnt be a threat to the bay of pigs....

im not saying hes a good president, but the cuban missle crisis would have never happened

  • @Vertigo2903 ohhh that's interesting....because if he was we wouldn't be here. How the fuck did we elect him anyways, I was kid or else I would've campaigned against him hell I didn't like him back then and I fucking hate him now.

  • Because of the tragedy of his death, JFK has become memorialized as a much better president than he actually was. In reality, he was somewhat mediocre. He totally bungled the Bay of Pigs, and got trampled by Khruschev at the summit in Austria. These things only served to embodlen the Soviets to install missiles in Cuba. JFK then appeased the Soviets by making a secret deal to remove our missiles in Turkey in exchange for the Soviets withdrawing theirs in Cuba.

  • @BamaChris Because nuclear annihilation is a better option, you fucking prick! Did the bombs fall? No. Was Kennedy in charge when they didn't? Yes. As far as I'm concerned I wouldn't have been born in 1979 were it no for that man, so STFU.

  • @magog1138 Keep worshipping a drunken, philandering, overrated buffoon, who is only popular because his head was cracked open like a walnut. He sentenced thousands of people to death when he lied about providing air cover at the Bay of Pigs. Then, he did not have the guts to run the Soviets out of Cuba.

  • @magog1138

Agree, John F. Kennedy was a great man, so sad we lost him and his brother Robert.

  • the movie should've said somethin about mccone, when he was the only 1 requestin U2s flights over cuba in august 1962. but no1 listened 2 him, even JFK and bobby kennedy.

  • @paulsenchile intruesting who what was the guy full name

  • if cuba and usa will have fought who will have won but remembr its in the 1962

  • Would you people who probably were not ali
