Sensor size is in units that do not apply to picture quality. If you also included pixel density or something you could actually tell the quality of the cameras. That is to say, a huge CCD could be extremely shitty and a small CCD could be really good.

Concise. Explains the basic idea in clear and fun way. Great review. I just spent the last several days looking at DSLRs, micro 4/3's and finally the S90..
The S90 has everthing I wanted.. small but SLR quality pix.
It is small enough that you want to bring it with you everywhere!

I must say Great job! I do thank you for explaining in plain English what the different between a DSLR camera and a pocket camera. It was educational and yet entertaining that is an amazing feat!

DSLR cameras are just too big and heavy to carry around.
Right now, when I am on location recording YouTube videos, I must carry 2 tripods, my camera (mic and receiver in a case) and these items are strapped to both of my shoulders with straps.
I can't imagine carrying anything more.
The idea of a DSLR is out of the question for YouTubers like myself.
The Canon PowerShot S90 looks like something worth saving for (but more expensive than I would rather spend in this difficult economy.
