How can it be 1 month after drop! I mean if you think about the halo time line the only way it could be 1 month after drop is if it took theUNSC over a month to find master chief after he crash landed on earth in the beginning of halo 3. Now that I think about it I guess it could have taken the ship master chef was on 1 month more to get to earth then it took the humans.

Yes Truth and Sgt Johnson died in halo 3, but this game/ cutscene took place between halo 2 and halo 3. Also in the beggining cutscene as you're droping on your pod you can see the "In Amber Clad" the frigate you rode on in halo 2 pull up next to the covenant capital ship as it is about to jump.

That is the property of 343 industries, they are the ones in charge of the Halo franchise, also activision don't make games they manage and sell franchiases. @bonjovi696 halo 3 odst takes place at the events of halo 2, if you actually played and payed attention to the game (regrets carrier slipspace jumps inside mombasa, you go through the streets of mombasa, etc.) they named it halo 3 odst because bungie used the halo 3 engine for odst. they didnt want to name it halo 2 odst (even though odst took place at the time of halo 2) cuz it would make people confused
