I just bought an Atv (Yamaha Blaster) and I am having some problems.... so when you in neutral it revs like a beauty but then you go into first the whole engines bogs down and doesn't have no power.. barely enough to pull me.. then when I am trying to go up hill it quiets it cant handle it but sometimes the engine gets its power and I am going mad fast....HOW DO I MAKE IT STAY LIKE THISS!!
@bombin1181 Sorry i havnt been able to reply, Ive been riding all weekend long. Check your jetting, make sure you are running premix at 32:1. Usually a 2 stroke wont run right or top notch if it isnt jetted correctly. What are the mods done to it???(air filter, exhaust, engine size, any mods done to airbox or intake...)????
@bombin1181 its a 2 stroke. they have NOOO botom end its all top end power. its called the power band. it caught me of gaurd to when i went from a 70 to a yz 125. that power band is AWSOME
@viperdude400ltd i'm fourteen 190 lbs and 6'1. i fit fine on mine, and i haven't trimmed plastics, changed swinger, or anything to give me more room. but go with a banshee, there way faster and bigger, MORE FUN!
@monsterrmann2244 why? honda does have great motor's but until blasters and banshees become impossible to get parts for i am gunna run yamaha 2-strokes, if i have to i'll get a suzuki but im never giving up my powerband!
@damoleman69 Not hating on you man, as long as you people ride and dont talk shit about something you never have...But you dont have to give up a powerband, Honda still has a cr250 motor alot of people just put in the trx250r frame cause parts for trx250r parts are pretty much overpriced.

i just got one a 2000 blaster everything is the same as urs same pipe but frame an't black only paid 200 for it and all it needs is the carb cleaned out can't wait to take it out once i fix it up a little bit

@4WHEELBANDITS Hey dumbshit, Toomey's website also says it gains you 25% more horspower, which isn't true. I took this blaster to a dyno and for the mods i had on it before the toomey, I had about 20hp, that means it would give me 5hp more with just a pipe, which is correct, but taking and using a different silencer DOES NOT change performance, except if you take the silencer completely off. So shut the fuck up and quit being jealous, bastard!
@22of44 it doesnt rob any power, it doesnt create more power, it changes sound. It may actually make a little more than the Toomey now that I think about it because the toomey needed re-packed and when there is no packing it loses power. like, i said, learn your shit before posting on videos
hey bro i have a question for you when you got your stuff rebuilt what did they tell you about how to break it in what steps did you have to take?and i agree with you i like the fmf sicener with the toomey header i have the same thing and it does sound great!!!
@253cjm Make sure your jetting is dead on, for a stock carb, make sure the a/f screw is 1.5 turns out. start it up, NO REVVING. let it idle for 15 minutes, then let it completely cool down to where you could touch the cylinder and it be cold. then keep repeating the process about 6-7 times and then on a first ride, dont give more than 25% throttle. then you work your way up easy. message me for more info.

@MarcusJ00007 Yes, especially on a 2 stroke. If a 4 stroke aint jetted right, it takes a bit longer to blow up....If you listen to this video when it starts, and i hit the gas, the RPM's hang which means the pilot jet is lean.

hey did u get the vid i sent u? im thinkin about tryin it on mine, but first i have to find a case, i was ridin it last weekend cuz my 450 is in the shop... again... dropped a valve, anyway the chain broke on my blaster and broke through the case. hopefully i can find a whole motor for a good price, i dont know how to split cases
