This topic can actually be fixed by making everyone in the world understand symantecs. It never really matters what a person says. What really matters is what a persons intentions are. We can't take the sting out of the word without "racial equality." Black people have been shut out of every opportunity in the past so it makes it hard to achieve equal treatment. Think about this, when our ancestors were being forced into slavery and raped of their culture, pride and dignity, they were forced to work and receive no benefits from building america while whites received the fruits of the land. The few Africans who did sell other Africans into slavery, only did so after money and European culture were introduced into their societies.

Yes whites did have white slaves. It was know as "indentured servitude" But people usually became indentured slaves through mutual agreement between the master & the slave. Blacks on the other hand, did not agree to slavery, they were forced into it, mainly by European & Spanish traders, not other blacks
Im just saying you cant blame the whole slave trade on the VERY small percentage of Africans who sold their brothers into slavery. The Majority of black slaves weren't enslaved by other blacks

I think that the prevalence of afrocentric subject matter in conscious hip hop has always made a non-black person feel, i guess you could say out of place in HH fandom. The total inability to identify and relate is instead replaced with possibly empathy or support, but this isn't as easy to explain or show without being considered weird or wannabe. If I was black and I saw a white dude buy "Nigger" by Nas, sure as hell I'd look at him and think "this isnt for you"

This topic can actually be fixed by making everyone in the world understand symantecs. It never really matters what a person says. What really matters is what a persons intentions are. If someone calls me like white trash or wet back or beaner (its complicated) but the tone just says hes not trying to be offensive than i dont get mad. But someone can be calling you "buddy" with a tone that says "asshole" and its time to beat someones ass. Only way to "fix" this is to educate the youth.

Album: I think this is an honorable move by Nas to risk being hated by everyone who is sensitive to the word nigger. I am sensitive to it, because of the hate that it inspires. If black people would take the high road and brush it off instead of starting violence, then nigger would not be such a big deal.
