Why on earth did they bother making an American version of the office? Americans could never appreciate what's funny about a paper merchants in Slough :)
They made an American one precisely because Americans aren't going to understand what's funny about a paper merchants in Slough. So they made it a paper supply company in Scranton, PA.
Funniest thing is, Gareth is hilarious and he doesnt even know it!!!!!!!!lol and am i the only one to think Gareth's haircut is a bit over done 1990's?? and even weirder, my boyfriend's name is Gareth!!!!!!
I, for one, would love to be able to see just ONE post of a clip from The Office (UK or US version) and not have to see people ranting about which one is better. Both versions are funny in different ways. Don't get me wrong, I have a fave too. I just think arguing about it is pointless. Let's all just appreciate comedy instead of turning it into some sort of patriotic debate.
amen. whenever someone posts a clip from the UK or US office, without fail, within 3 comments guaranteed someone will start ranting which one they like better. it's pathetic really.
if ya think about it. The scripts are almost identical. almost.
really the only big difference are the accents. I mean. I think americans will understand the US version better because of the accents/slang and maybe jokes. Same with the English liking the UK version because of accents/slang and UK jokes.
there will be the occasional person to crossover though (American liking UK version)
Hey MLBSucksAss can you possibly upload a clip from this same episode in which Gareth is in David's office showing him how he can view everyone's internet history and David is trying to act like he's happy but at the same time trying to prevent Gareth from checking his history because Jan (or whatever the UK Jan was called) is in the room? That's the best part of this episode in my opinion.
Love the way Tim says "Thank You" sarcastastically at the very end when Gareth says thats the end of the interview which I think was missed on this clip. Thanks anyway!..G8 sTUFF!
So sad that there are only 14 episodes.
