0mg!! i am sooooo gonna subscribe y0u and definitly follow!! I'm transitioning now and i have watched every last one of your videos and they were sooo helpful!! we will definitly k.i.t.!!!
@Srk08 Thanks for watching!.... Shampoos especially with sulfate tend to strip your hair and leave it dry.. Cowash inghelps retain moisture in your hair.
@bulldogchic08 - Thanks for watching. The natural hair community on youtube is awesome and strong... So many creative sistas on here gives yyou great inspiration.
girl you are simply beautiful. my decision to go nature kind of happened unconsciencly(if i spelled that right) i just stopped getting perms and i've been doing that about 4 months. i wear a lot of weaves so i kind of forgot about perms but now i think i'm ready to embrance my nature hair and stop being a fein to that creamy crack lol
@KiloTHEDon10 - Thanks for watching and congrats on your new journey to natural there are going tobe some highs and lows as with any journey. Just make sure you find what works for you and enjoy it .. Happy Thanksigivng.
do yhu still use the lock & twist gel?. besides the aloe gel did yhu use anything else with it?. wat does the product do for ur hair( the lock & twist gel)?.
@KrissanneJames - Thanks for watching. I actually have not used the lock and twist gel since I've been natural and its been 9months now I find it does not do anything for my natural hair. And i still use the aloe vera gel when I do any kind of set. In my mind its like a natrual setting lotion...lol... The main gel I use as a natural is eco styler aloe vera gel ... It;s my new crack...lol
I just decided it believe it or not yesterday to go natural.I have no idea what I am doing. I haven't relaxed my hair in almost 2 months now.I have a relaxer that's calling me upstairs. But i refuse to do it. I dont know what this will bring but I am sick of the chemicals and ready for a new me.So thanks for such videos that encourages ppl such as myself!
@mssno2u - Thanks for watching and congrats on your new journey to natural there are going tobe some highs and lows as with any journey. Just make sure you find what works for you and enjoy it... Happy Thanksgiving.
do u have a vid on how u wash ur hair. im also transitioning and i am sooo confused. do i need to air dry or blow dry?my hair is supa dupa thick so and hard to manage what to do? what to do? i would also like to c or at least knw tha steps for ur hair style n this video.itz too cuts n i wanna try it!
@hershegurl05 - Thanks for watching. Ok first take a deep breath... I dont have a video of how I wash my hair because I use the same technique Kimmaytube and naptural 85 use so check out there videos and it will give you all the info you need to know.. As far as this style I have a video for it its the Cold Rod Set video check it out if you"d like. Hope this helps. Congrats on your journey
@MsLadyFreak - Thanks for watching. I havent gotten any extensionsjourney my journey transitioning and now 9 months natural but everyone I've spoken to who have say the same 3 things: go to a natural hair specialist, moisturizing is key, and make sure it's not tooo tight. Hope this helps happy thanksgiving
@misspvgrad07 - Thanks for watching I got them my local beauty supply stores in brooklyn but you can check sally's, drugstores, and the vitamnshoppe as well.
I have been looking for a video like urs for so long I also want my natural hair but i dont want to big chop and i wanted to find styles that look good while im transitioning your video is a great help
@bmoretigger04 - Thanks for watching... Good for your you found something that works for you I never tried genie locks but that's awesome you found it works
@transition2naptural - Thanks for watching.. I know natural products have become more accessible being a target unfortunately I find the price at my local bauty supply is cheaper then target... but when you are in a town where target's all you got it's great.
@iBAD305 - Thanks for watching... I never heard of tree braids... I'm 9 months natural now I dont think I'll be trying extensions anytime soon though having too much fun natural :)
@HairNailsBeautytips - Thanks for watching.. And congrats on your journey to natural I hope you are loving it... I'm 9 months natural now and I know I made the best decision ever.
@Lillove81 I agree. I want to grow out my hair but, I'm finding hard to maintain it. Can you help a sista out on what to put in my hair if I let it grow. Believe me, I want to let it grow out but don't know what to put in my hair but Activator gels. Thanks sis! Rosa
ok, Im trans. also, Ive been at it for about 5 to six mnths, and I wear this style as well. My ? to you is, how do you sleep with these curls and have them still looking nice in the morning, I use a satin cap, but when I wake up, my curls are flat. and not bouncy. So I pick them out and wear an afro, What do you do?
Thanks for watching. - So around day 2 to 4 some of my relaxed ends would start to flatten so I would either maintain with a lil aloe vera gel on the ends placing satin sponge rollers in the flatten prone spots or just cowash my hair. ( in the beginning I cowash 2x a week which worked great for me).. Hope this helps
@godsbabygirl05 Hey I have pulled this style of using drinking straws. I also found if you two strand twist the hair before using the rollers or drinking straws, the curls hold up better
Dang, this vid makes me wish I didn't relax my hair. Oh well. I can always start again! I BCD too many times in the past and I will never do it again for short hair. I will be transitioning at least a year and a half.
THanks for watching I have not completely BC'ed yet however I have chopped half my hair off and I love this style which I think I'm gonna rock for another 6 months b4 I completely BC
Thanx for sharing! I have a question...what is the difference in the your spiral rod set after sitting under the dryer versus letting it air dry? Does one work better than the other? And when putting in the rods do you moisturize each section as you go or your entire head? Thanx!!! (ok that was more than one question lol)
Thanks for watching.. So Air Drying and dryer drying have no difference exceot for time... If I going to let it air dry I would do it the night b4 and just sleep on the rods.. the only thing is that they are so uncomfortably to sleep in ... And I moisturize eac section as I go simply to cut down on time. Hope that helps.
heat on ur hair causes damage however sitting under a dryer is less stress then blow drying ...heat is the devil time isnt tghe only difference but damage is the other issue
ur hair is so pretty, I'm going on my 8th month of transitiioning and I plan on doing th BC on my year anniversary (if i can last that long), are you doing a BC?
Thanks for watching! Thru trial and error I've come to love JCS products and buying these products which last for at least 1 month is so much cheaper then when I would perm and get my hair done at the salon every 2 weeks. However, I'm all for saving $ and trying out different natural products... Of these natural soap bars: what brands do you recommend and is it simply for shampoo or conditioner or mosturizer? where can they be found?
@ciara844: thanks for watching. LOL i actually had the small bottle at first but it finished quick; plus it was like $1 more for that large container compared to the small one. I couldn't pass that one up.
Thanks for this vid.I was starting to get fed up with the natural part of my hair because after my cowashes the curls are not soft and I was afraid that I might be damaging my hair when I detangle it.I'm a lil chicken to order online but if it will make my transitioning process better it's worth a try.lol! thanks again!
Girl!! Love love your video! I am in my 4th month and have been noticing how dry my spiral curls have become and will def. try the nourush and shine products! Thanks so mch and keep the videos coming!
where did u get the jane carter products and the african shea butter? for the life of me i cant find the cantu shea butter. lol!! where did u get urs? pleez
Ok so I see you are from Brooklyn too. I get all my beauty supply products from the Beauty Supply store on Flatbush (i know there's like a million).
I typically go to the only one that's on Flatbush between Beverly Road & Tilden Avenue. That store has all the products I use and the price is the cheapest.
You can also find Cantu Products at Rite Aid and CVS. You can order Jane Carter Solution Products online at its official website.
lol!! thank u. i actually am in mass now...unfortunately. lol!! but i went to brooklyn recently and i found it. ur vids r great. thank u again..God bless
You should try yarn braids

Yeah that's the best thing about transitioning everyone's process is so different.
I already left the rhythm of my perm days and now transitioning is my new rhythm.
I need some consistency in my life and right now I can't handle a drastic change like a BC...
I will get to 100% natural at the time I'm suppose and it will be great.
