Ive seen Slipknot play at the second stage when they were huge at Ozzfest.Insane show.Ive seen Mushroomhead play at the Cleveland Agora every Halloween for the past 4 years.Smaller venue, but that atmosphere ,Halloween, hometown band, the fucking Agora,the loyal fans, the great supporting bands,cannot be beat, not even by Slipknots awesome ozzfest show.

Slipknot formed in 1995, their first album MFKR which only 1,000 copies were made was released on Halloween day in 1996.. those 1000 copies were distributed by the band themselves... after that Ismist recordings released the remaining units in 1997.. So Mushroomhead STILL beat Slipknot chronologically.. and that is straight up facts bro.

Mushroomhead formed 2 years BEFORE Slipknot.. and trying to say early slipknot from MFKR/V-mob days dont mean shit. If you actually watch the Mushroomhead and Slipknot Interviews they have BOTH stated they would love to do a concert together, the genre of music is 2 complete different things between the bands... who cares if they wear masks, quite a few bands do... doesn't necessarily mean 'X' band copied 'X' band...

Not sure about their sound. It is different. But the new face has a certain appeal to me. JMann rules! But this Waylon guy, has a good voice too. Can't compare really. This guy is more melodic, where as JMann was more harsh and dark.
I dig both Slipknot -mostly Subliminal...- and Mushroohead, but I like more Mushroomhead because of their musicality. And their soft paterns are more alternative, while today Slipknot's soft songs and the last album are a little bit too pop. And Mushroomhead lyrics are smarter.

Slipknot formed in 1995, their first album MFKR which only 1,000 copies were made was released on Halloween day in 1996.. those 1000 copies were distributed by the band themselves... after that Ismist recordings released the remaining units in 1997.. So Mushroomhead STILL beat Slipknot chronologically.. and that is straight up facts bro.

@Sharpedo27 uhh bro if you ever known someone from indiana, ohio, or pennsylvania they knew of MRH before SK. Mushroomhead formed 2 years BEFORE Slipknot.. and trying to say early slipknot from MFKR/V-mob days dont mean shit. MRH has 2 years on slipknot.. plus if you knew actual facts. the only reason why SK got so far ahead of MRH is cause of that record deal. MRH still sells out their shows on word of mouth... plus our shows are a lot more intense we dont need pyrotechnics to have a good show.

If you actually watch the Mushroomhead and Slipknot Interviews they have BOTH stated they would love to do a concert together, the genre of music is 2 complete different things between the bands... who cares if they wear masks, quite a few bands do... doesn't necessarily mean 'X' band copied 'X' band...

I dig both Slipknot -mostly Subliminal...- and Mushroohead, but I like more Mushroomhead because of their musicality. And their soft paterns are more alternative, while today Slipknot's soft songs and the last album are a little bit too pop. And Mushroomhead lyrics are smarter.
