I'd like to see the dance face-off get some traction. This is about having creative fun and is no more hostile than getting on the field and playing the actual game.
I'm not sore from the loss, I'm sore from the taunting and classlessness.
It has nothing to do with whether AU won or lost. Nothing to get over. I don't like to see that kind of garbage whether its Georgia, Miami, FSU, Tennessee or any team. That dancing in the end-zone thing was a complete disgrace and I lost most of the respect I had for Richt the minute it happened and he not only allowed it, but encouraged it.
Pathetic.
P.S. Maybe Georgia and Hawaii can have a dance off. lmao
Please, do AU fans get excited after beating Bama in the Iron Bowl and rolling Toomer's Corner? The Oldest rivalry in the South, lots of credit to Coach Mark Richt and kudos to all 94,000+ in Sanford (in black).
mark richt is a good man and a good coach as is tuberville, these are 16 ,17, 18, year old kids that for the most part stay cool it is very difficult to maintain emotions weather uga, or au but to lose respect over someting like that is a little , well come on.
hey who's bitching? I know Auburn is cuz u don't go either! Ha! oh and who lost again this year? Wasn't the dawgs! We could also finish out number 3 in the BCS! Auburn will probably never know that feeling. Oh, what number are you guys again?
You're telling me that if Auburn came out in orange jerseys for the LSU game next year you wouldn't like it? Richt's job was never even close to being in jeopardy. Georgia isn't Michigan; we give our coaches a chance once in awhile.
After losing by 25 points, now you have to resort to rooting for Tennessee. Oh well, when UGA's in the Sugar Bowl and Auburn's in the Cotton....
I'm not saying he's not a good coach. I'm just saying that he's selling his program out for these stupid gimmicks just to get a couple of wins to keep the heat off of him.
What heat? We were expecting a 4 or 5 loss season easy. We started this year with almost no experience on the line or on defense. One of our most experienced guys in the secondary is a SOPHOMORE. He has used ONE gimmick (UF). The jersey's were the seniors idea (And yes, they were. I know quite a few of them). I heard about the blackout through them before Richt announced it.
Heat off of him?! No he's just trying to motivate his players, and is was because of the Tenn game that Coach Richt resorted to these actions because he said that the team showed no emotion. So he wanted to spark up and get the team alive. From all the comments I see looks like some one is a little sore from the game. Well you can look at it this way, Cox is graduating and you have a nice freshman QB that is going to take the helm for you War Eagles.
"The players weren't dancing cause they were winning."
Funny I don't remember much dancing during the Tennessee game?
Whether you Georgia fans want to believe it or not, the only reason Richt is letting them 'have fun' is to save his job. He's sold the program out in my opinion.
We were also in Neyland Stadium. I sat through that whole game and I somehow don't remember hearing 'Crank Dat' coming through their speakers. Wanna look like a bigger idiot yet? They didn't dance at Florida either. Once again, not our stadium, not our songs. Save his job? Hes got one of the best records in the SEC and hes playing FRESHMEN. There was never a question about his job.
He hasn't sold anyone or anything out. Georgia is a fine program with a fine coach in a very strong conference loaded with OUTSTANDING teams like Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, and Florida. I think the Georgia coaches, players, and fans feel proud to just have the chance to compete on the same level as these programs.
Everyone likes to win. Don't rain on someone else's parade when your guy doesn't win :)
The players weren't dancing cause they were winning. They weren't dancing cause they were trying to rub it in to the Auburn player's faces. Hell, I'd bet they would have loved for the Auburn players to dance with them. They were dancing because they WANTED to and because they were having FUN. Thats what sports are supposed to be all about. Sorry you seem to have forgotten that..
Honestly, you just sound bitter now. Everyone I saw was having fun and enjoying the game. I even had Auburn fans come up and tell me after the game that it was fun and that they wished Auburn had fun like that more often. Why can't you say "Great game. Good luck with the rest of the season, we'll get you next year." Why must you find something wrong with the team that beat you?
I mean call it motivation and having fun all you want but like you said "it's a game players love to paly" and if your playing in a rivalry game, shouldn't that be enough motivation to win a game instead of parading around on the sidelines like a jackass to get you excited?
I mean I can handle high-five's, even the side bumps, but dancing like that is where I draw the line.
Why? They were not taunting the other team. They were on their side of the field having fun with their team-mates. They weren't even jawing with the Auburn players. What is so wrong about them dancing to music being played over the speakers? I'm sorry, but I don't see what the problem is here.
My argument is pathetic? Tell that to Florida and Vandy fans. It's not like Georgia just started "havin fun" against Auburn. They jumped up and down on Vanderbilt's field and then the next week Georgia gets alot of unsportsman like penalties against Florida and should have gotten more in the Auburn game.
First off, the Vanderbilt thing is hardly an argument. The players were celebrating basically where they kicked the field goal from and Richt shut that down REALLY fast. As for the Florida game, there were many unsportsmanlike penalties. I will give you that. However, after the first touchdown, many of them were questionable. There were some late hits and "taunting" penalties that I think should not have been called.
Also, where in your argument before have you brought this up? Because unless I'm blind you are complaining that UGA players are doing what every football player should be doing. Having fun playing a game they love. And you still haven't answered my question. How is dancing on the sidelines with your team-mates "taunting"?
1st of all that Gator Chomp was a "GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL", it's not like he was doing all 2nd half while the game was going on.
I liked how when they were talking about Mareno and then they pan to him and the 27th different team mate doing a 5 step jiggy dance and the hip-hop bee-bop so Verne and Gary could talk about how humble the kid is.
What I want to know is since when is dancing a sign of ego? Knowshon is probably the most humble football player I have ever met. The kid doesn't care whether he gets no carries or 50 as long as the team wins. And the team dancing was not taunting at all. Your argument is pathetic. I didn't see a single instance of them taunting the other team. All I saw was them jumping and dancing with their team-mates.
And complain about the announcers liking Knowshon MORENO (learn to spell jackass) all you want, he ran for more yards against you than Felix Jones or McFadden.. Thats worth at least a little praise isn't it?

Where in my post did I say Georgia didn't win? I know Auburn got beat and I accept that but what I don't accept is total disrespect and taunting. Georgia was doing it for most 2nd half not just for like 5 minutes.
I've lost all total respect for Georgia and Mark Richt. Richt is letting the inmates run the asylum in my opinion and he needs to show some discipline.
haha, how was it taunting when the first time they did it was at a kickoff when they were down! and how was it disrespectful? it got the whole crowd pumped and goin crazy. what was disrespectful was the auburn fans tossing jack bottles from the nosebleeds. yourn not brandon cox so grow up.
I have no dog in the fight, but to me those were college kids having fun on their own sideline. Are you against fun? You probably beat your kids when they run around the house laughing and playing. When Auburn's kicker taunted Florida by doing the Gator chomp, I smiled because that was a freshman showing emotion and having a good time. Loosen up.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Listen I know you guys are gonna blast for me sayin this but it was classless. The announcers of the game were biased. All I heard all night was Mareno this, Mareno that and this video proves my point even more. You can call it having fun but it was really a way of showing the other team up.
Explain how? They were doing it on their own sideline, with their fans. How is it different from Wisconsin playing "Jump Around" at the beginning of every 4th quarter in their home games?
Don't be bitter that you got beat, just accept it.
Could somebody upload Uga going after that person on the sideline, when the handler had to drag him away. I thought it was funny. Georgia scored a TD soon after that. I think it happened early in the 4th qtr.
1. First of all, I doubt the players have given THAT much thought into whether or not the song is "cool". They're just doing it for the fun of it. Just because you may not like the song doesn't mean EVERYONE will look stupid if they listen or dance to it. And it's not fair to bash them for it either. To be honest, I don't like this song either, but I STILL found it funny. The anchormen were dancing to the song for the same reason the players were. FOR FUN.
2. They don't care how good or bad they look to other viewers, and that's the whole point. As far as "real hip hop" goes, it's just like any other genre of music. Sure, there A LOT of songs that DO have meaning and significance, but some of it is written for the purpose of enjoyment, and NOT to delve deep into what the song is trying to convey. I happen to like hip-hop music, but half the time, I just listen to it because it has a great beat.
Please don't insult my intelligence. I may not know EVERY teeny tiny detail about the history of hip-hop, but I'll have you know that I DO listen to it, quite frequently actually. Black Eyed Peas, Will Smith, Kanye West, Outkast, DMC, Rev Run, just to name a few. Many of their songs have emotion. I'm not saying that Hip-Hop has no emotion whatsoever. But not EVERY song has to be taken ao seriously, as you have chosen to do.
Capitalism has been a cancer to hiphop with mainstream, inauthentic songs being the most played.
But with hiphop artists like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Immortal Technique, there's still hope for positive, meaningful hiphop that enhances its listeners, NOT DEGRADES.
ITS funny every 1 giving me negative feedback with thumbs down on my comments
People obviously like being disillusioned
If selling out is fun to people, we got a problem
FOR ALL OF YOU WHO THINK MY ATTEMPT AT SHOWING YOU THE NEGATIVITY OF SOULJA BOY AND THE POSITIVITY OF REAL MEANINGFUL HIPHOP, watch spike lee's Bamboozled and you'll see what I mean
Whether you like it or not Soulja Boy is apart of Hip Hop. When Hip Hop started in the 1970's, it was created because the system was not inclusive towards urban youth/america, so we made our own culture. Hip Hop is all inclusive, and there are subcultures within the culture. To just exclude somebody from being apart of Hip Hop is unhiphop in itself, fam.
hiphop started small. it wasn't meant to be mainstreamed. soulja boy is a jingle like mike jones. they're in it solely for capitalistic purposes. thats not hiphop. hiphop was created as a positive alternative to gangs, violence, drugs, and other negativity that soulja boy is about. just b/c sum1 has the sound of hiphop DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN ITS HIPHOP! Its a cookie cutter replication that this sell out soulja boy is using for $. Hiphop was never meant for the ignorant.
Heres an example to disprove your misguided logic:
A Racist comes out with a hiphop sounding cd b/c he knows a lot of people listen to hiphop, which ups his chances of making money. He has beats that aren't that bad, BUT HAS SOME OF THE MOST VILE, HATEFUL, IGNORANT LYRICS! just b/c it has the hiphop sound on the surface, WOULD YOU CONSIDER THAT RACIST SELL-OUT APART OF HIPHOP??? (i dont think so)
just b.c S1CEM said CLASSY u posted this ignorant comment! c that the prob. wit' ceratin utuberz they alwayz actin' stupid, and then when someone curses u out and call ya out ya name then it becomes RACIAL! STOP! wit the bullshit OK!
Question. Who are you responding to? You say that I said "classy" which I did not and then act as though what I posted is somehow ignorant? Perhaps you should visit some Auburn message boards and see why I made this comment. This comment was in DEFENSE of our players dancing. Many Auburn fans are calling them classless thugs because they were DANCING on the sideline...which most everyone else, myself included, absolutely loved.

The fans in that stadium loved seeing their players enjoy themselves on the sideline and having fun like 18-20 yr olds. GO DAWGS

I couldn't agree more, kevindavis. I know I sure had a blast seeing our guys dance and have fun. Go Dawgs!

THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS
FUCK SOULJA BOY
Thats the worst song out now
And the clown dance doesn't help
The epitome of garbage mainstream hiphop
MOS DEF WOULD ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASS THIS FOOL
When this soulja boy trend ends, it will be a GREAT DAY

LOL! They're just joking around. It's not meant to be taken so seriously.

THESE PLAYERS THINK THIS talentless, worthless piece of shit SONG IS COOL along with the clown dance
AND THE FACT THESE DUMBASS OLD WHITE GUYS TRY TO DO IT TO JUST PROVES WHAT AN ATROCIOUS SONG IT IS
REAL HIPHOP IS NOT SUPPOSE TO APPEAL TO THE IGNORANT, WHO DON'T UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING BEHIND THE SONG
This JINGLE has no meaning with some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard
THE MORE ITS PLAYED THE DUMBER ITS LISTENERS BECOME
ITS POISON
yayarea41507 4 years ago
FOR FUN.
AFVfan1 4 years ago
AFVfan1 4 years ago
You obviously know very little about hiphop and music in general.
Music isn't just supposed to be a beat
Its supposed to have meaning
Hiphop started small on the streets of New York and was a positive voice of the oppressed
Its now just turned into a means to get capital and sell out to get by
REAL HIPHOP ENHANCES THE MIND, NOT DEGRADES
Why else would they do the dance? b/c they thought it was stupid?
they're obviously pumped and showin it by doin this clown dance
yayarea41507 4 years ago
Please don't insult my intelligence. I may not know EVERY teeny tiny detail about the history of hip-hop, but I'll have you know that I DO listen to it, quite frequently actually. Black Eyed Peas, Will Smith, Kanye West, Outkast, DMC, Rev Run, just to name a few. Many of their songs have emotion. I'm not saying that Hip-Hop has no emotion whatsoever. But not EVERY song has to be taken ao seriously, as you have chosen to do.

Fam, calm down... it's a football game not the end of the world.

It makes them look like idiot entertainers
Schmucks all across the country do this clown dance b/c they think its cool
Its pathetic
This dumbs down hiphop and is just negative
ITS A SYNTHETIC, INAUTHENTIC BULLSHIT SONG USED FOR CAPITALISTIC PURPOSES
ITS JUST STUPID!
These players look like morons jumping around to this talentless jingle
yayarea41507 4 years ago
Hip Hop has been dumbed down since larges amounts of money came into the equation. Not saying that I like it, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
jsye 4 years ago 3
Capitalism has been a cancer to hiphop with mainstream, inauthentic songs being the most played.
But with hiphop artists like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Immortal Technique, there's still hope for positive, meaningful hiphop that enhances its listeners, NOT DEGRADES.
yayarea41507 4 years ago
ITS funny every 1 giving me negative feedback with thumbs down on my comments
People obviously like being disillusioned
If selling out is fun to people, we got a problem
FOR ALL OF YOU WHO THINK MY ATTEMPT AT SHOWING YOU THE NEGATIVITY OF SOULJA BOY AND THE POSITIVITY OF REAL MEANINGFUL HIPHOP, watch spike lee's Bamboozled and you'll see what I mean
yayarea41507 4 years ago
Agreed.

i agree man soulja boy sucks ass what happen to real hip hop there are only a few left
DETROITCITY18144 4 years ago
people only see what they want to see
they look at this clown dance and think these players are just having fun
But its deeper than that
Spike Lee's Bamboozled explains it all
Entertainment is a sell out
Art is expression and meaningful
Soulja Boy is an insult to hiphop and any1 that dances/enjoys it is joining the meaningless trend
yayarea41507 4 years ago
Whether you like it or not Soulja Boy is apart of Hip Hop. When Hip Hop started in the 1970's, it was created because the system was not inclusive towards urban youth/america, so we made our own culture. Hip Hop is all inclusive, and there are subcultures within the culture. To just exclude somebody from being apart of Hip Hop is unhiphop in itself, fam.
jsye 4 years ago
hiphop started small. it wasn't meant to be mainstreamed. soulja boy is a jingle like mike jones. they're in it solely for capitalistic purposes. thats not hiphop. hiphop was created as a positive alternative to gangs, violence, drugs, and other negativity that soulja boy is about. just b/c sum1 has the sound of hiphop DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN ITS HIPHOP! Its a cookie cutter replication that this sell out soulja boy is using for $. Hiphop was never meant for the ignorant.
yayarea41507 4 years ago
Heres an example to disprove your misguided logic:
A Racist comes out with a hiphop sounding cd b/c he knows a lot of people listen to hiphop, which ups his chances of making money. He has beats that aren't that bad, BUT HAS SOME OF THE MOST VILE, HATEFUL, IGNORANT LYRICS! just b/c it has the hiphop sound on the surface, WOULD YOU CONSIDER THAT RACIST SELL-OUT APART OF HIPHOP??? (i dont think so)
