I visited Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument back in '07. What magnificent and breathtaking sites they are. When I return to Scotland for my next visit (which I hope is very, very soon), I want to visit these places again. I love Scotland so much and was never so sad to leave a place in my life--I can't wait to get back there. :)
yeah 1 wall the one facing kingspark is cream but not a nice cream just a descusting cream a think its actualy called royal cream lol no joke but still royal cream or not tis mingin
ITs called the kings gold and they have restored it to what it was originally. The archeologists found bits of the paint in the stone. Its that colour because when it rains it turns gold. I work at the castle and thats what they tell me anyway
@scotsman5678 Stirling was so important to control access to the highlands and that was why there have been so many important battles in and around the plains of Stirling. Stirling place of my birth, land of my heart though I wander far and wide, there is whaur my heart will always bide.....
Mac Talla Mor cd ,song about WW's sword, the most awesome song, try it, you'll love it. Thank for these videos

Are you serious? The great hall of James 1V was restored and the new stonework is still clean.

I think that when the castle was newly built all the stonework would be the same colour as the recently restored part.
The centuries have darkened the origonal colour of the stones.

Eight major battles were fought near the Stirling plain over a period covering some 900 years.
