I wonder if she'd be as comfortable with the fact that so many young people get their news/opinion from the Daily Show if the show's politics disagreed with her own.
@Marshall119us whether you agree/disagree with their interpretation of what's being presented, you have to admit they are factual and don't misrepresent information or take quotes out of context, or edit clips to fit their agenda (see Fox News).
@basselope Fox News is a network, not a show. Some fox shows don't claim to be news (e.g. O'Reilly, Beck), but others do (Special Report). Daily Show claims to be entertainment (based on news), but given with a wink that says "we're using ridicule and humor to tell you how the news really is". Daily Show does indeed quote out of context as do many shows on both sides. As to editing clips or misrepresentation, I'm not familiar with specific examples. I'm just saying your comparison off.
The Daily Show is to blame for my addiction to politics. Her response from 1:22 to 1:47 is exactly what I've learned to do, unlike some mindless puppets... *cough*teaparty*cough*palin*cough*. Over the past year and 1/2 I've learned that politics is actually very interesting, educational and even entertaining. I'm sure I would probably still not give a damn if it weren't for The Daily Show.
Great job, man! I totally confess: I get my political news largely from "The Daily Show". I'm such a fan, so this was a great behind-the-scenes for me personally. Well done, well done.
amazing.

I hear this woman grew up Catholic. A great argument can be made for abolishing the Catholic church forever.

Daily show is accurate in it's reporting; stance is subjective.

@JohnnySlotCar How sad. How sad that a comedy show proves more accurate in news journalism today than both the network and cable news.

I wager NOT.
