  • Allrightey, Thank you for posting up my work, I'm an artist, herbalist & bard, have been itinerant since leaving the highflats, originally from Monktonhall, son of a Leatherworker. I have written over 50 street songs, 1st CD/Book called "L for Leather, (Escape the Dungeon, Enter the Briar)". making 2nd CD/Book "Arm the Uke's" soon, see you on the road, cheers L

  • @leathermonk Thanks mate, I sing this song when I'm in the kitchen!

I like the story, I'll have a good look through your uploads. Where can I get the CD/book?

  • @jerrygreg2 hogshead records on the southside edinburgh, cheers

  • I think this is Leathermonk. I don't know how to do a link but have a look at my Favourites.

  • @saltwaterballads Well done! Thank you. There's no question you found the man. I'll hang up my gumshoes then :)

  • @jerrygreg2 Armchair detective, thats me :)

  • Is it Jesse Rae? :)

  • @saltwaterballads An interesting thought! I can't find an image of Jesse Rae with his helmet off, but I don't think it's him. Behind the beard, I'm pretty sure this guy was younger. He said he lived in a particular part of Leith which I won't say here, but someone else was with him recording so I assume he's released music. I need to do some detective work.

    Thanks Julie!

  • Here you don't see many of these musician/singer along the street... this one looked kinda characteristic with the Scottish clothes and the red beard!!! Plus, I like his singing! :)

  • @LadyGreyCarolyn You don't see too many of them, not playing a ukulele!
