I don't know if you've ever been to a live concert, but in like every live concert the bass overplays the rest because of the soundsystem which is over-edited in recordings. they are fine the way they are but I respect your opinion though.

I have been to plenty of concerts but the bands I listen to, almost all of them pick. And if you have any musical knowledge bassists pick to blend the sound with guitars, that is why I was commenting on this because I prefer that sound but its cool. -Great video!
