Okay, I gotta admit that I am partial to Alyssa Milano as Phoebe simply because she's the person that I'm used to playing Phoebe. But Lori Rom did a good job as her and probably would have been a good Phoebe if she had stayed on.

It's so wierd having ppl freeze without the sound effect. Also I think when Lori Rom left the show the actors seemed to get more into their character when alyssa came

Well, it's kind of a good thing Lori up and left the show on her own accord. Physically she, and I mean her height here, wasn't a good fit for Shannen and Holly. Just looking at their picture, she's way too tall. Nothing I can say against her acting, I think she played Phoebe well, it's just that she really didn't look good together with the other two.

i noticed somthing:  when lori is saying the spell so the girls can get their powers, she says the oldest of SPELLS are invoked here, when its the oldest of GODS are invoked here!

@zddlive Yeah after Lori got booted, they decided to re-work on the scripts because they had already filmed the first 7 episodes before she left. So they had to start from the beginning, So Spelling re-worked on the script :)

@zddlive That was the old and not the original book, almost everything was changed including scripts and spells, so at the time the spell was most likely of what lori said.

well from what ive heard, lori rom left the cast on her own accord, otherwise she would of probably still been on the show. however her acting stills needs a little improvement. im actaully shocked to see that it's very much like the first episode too. also i think the pilot was shot in the original house. notice the Kitchen.

Alyssa reads the book of shadows wayyyyy better than this Pheobe. Alyssa reads it more interesting

If you notice, on the REAL episodes of charmed, when ever they would show the inside of the house from the outside it would show the staircase so close, then i figured out thats because the original house is actually inside the manor, and the staircase was that close, and i wish that they would have built the real house inside the actual location because it's cool seein them walk right inside instead of switching to the set.

and Holly Marie Combs was going to take the Role of Prue

and Lori Rom was playing phoebe

but Loriu retired for Religious reasons

and they swapped marie and shannon

yeah, its the same with the murder scene at the beginning. I think the only scenes that were re-shot were the ones set in the downstairs of the manor when they built the new set!

i miss shannen..Alyssa should have go and then Rose take over.. Thane charmed would be perfect with Prue, Piper and PAIGE...

I quite like Lori Rohm - and if we hadn't seen Alyssa Milano play Phoebe, then we would have nothing to compare it to - the actress creates a character, not the other way around -- they play it differently but both are good actresses.

Lori left no one knows why, so they had to get someone else (Alyssa Milano) thank goodness, because Alyssa actually knows how 2 act this girl doesn't.

This is an unaired pilot, only to see how the team works and so on. The director did't want have this girl because he thought, someother girl is better and so Alyssa played Phoebe (better).

Look on IMDB, the ID pic is from 2008. She looks better on the pic than in this episode if you ask me! She just doesn't fit that well as Alyssa, or it's maybe because we're so used to her.

I agree. Allysa Milano was a WAY better Phoebe. I don't think the show would have done as good as it did without her.
